I finally started this the other night and I'm almost done with season one.
It's good. I like it, but if they make Rory Williams a murderer or accomplice or pedophile, I swear to goodness, I will sucker punch everyone who rec'd this show.
I don't think they will, but if this is a surprise twist, ooo boy.
Definitely watch the BBC version! I haven't even checked out the Gracepoint remake but David Tennant with his actual Scottish accent is not to be missed!

Okay, whew. Maybe. I'll move on to season two soon and anything can happen.
He just seems shifty in this show. I keep thinking "Welcome back, Rory Williams!" Expecting him to finally be all good and loyal. But he's shifty. I don't like it.
Also, you know what? He totally has a dadbod, and he's still so lovely.

We finished Season Two last night. Damn, that was good. When I heard there was going to be a Season Two, I was like, "Why? They tied everything up so well?" But Season Two was great, and So. Many. Kickass. Women. Characters. I didn't really realize it until the end, but it's like the typical 90% male casting you see is flipped. A courtroom where both barristers and the judge are all female? Sure! :-D
The BBC version is far superior to the American version, not least because the actors in the BBC version are less annoying. I wanted to stab half the American cast, including Danny's mother. DT's character is also less of a douche in the BBC version.
LOL @ Rory Williams. I had a tough time watching him in Broadchurch and not expecting him to suddenly be all awkward and fumbly.
ETA: I think the ending to the American version is more interesting.

I think the American version got cancelled before it even finished airing, it just doesn't compare to the UK version. Tennant's American accent was unbearable lol. I can't wait for Season 3 to come out already!!
