Does anyone have one of those at home gallon water dispensers that they can recommend?
DH and I go through so much water. We purchase cases of bottled (not environmental friendly, I know) and do Brita jugs weekly. Just trying to figure out an easier and maybe more cost effective (in the long run) way to do this.

We have a primo one that has hot and cold water. We pretty much never use the hot water but I like it.
Eta: we rent and the water is weird tasting here (I think to much calcium). Otherwise we would probably do something different. It can get annoying have to return and get the jugs, though you can get a service we just do it ourselves at the grocery store because it is cheaper.

We had a water filter that we could hook up directly to the cold water line of our kitchen sink. We haven't used it recently because we got a new faucet, and need to switch over a part (and I've been too lazy to change it), but we love it.
When I was a kid my parents had Great Bear deliver those 5 gal water jugs, and we had a water cooler in the kitchen. They've since stopped that, after putting in a reverse osmosis filter that runs to their fridge water line. I have no idea if it's still "a thing."
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
We have filtered water through our fridge now, and before the new fridge we drank out of Brita pitchers that we stored in the fridge. We'd buy the Brita filters at a wholesale club when they had coupons and it wasn't too bad. The fridge filters last us about 3-4 months I think. Those are about $30 or so each.
My other concern and motivation for looking into this was due to the recent news report of them finding traces of drilling fluid that the oil and gas companies use in the State of PA where I reside. Although it was no where near where I live, there is a ton of drilling around my area so I'm just a little paranoid.
I haven't had time to look into this but I plan on doing a little more research.
