I came home from work and got an email from the FRO with pictures of my husband's unit. I chuckled when I saw the ones of him in them because it was obvious that he didn't know the picture was even being taken.

I got a pat on the back from a senior VP of the company. It was nice to know he recognized my hard work and efforts.

Today was a clusterfuck of a FML day. Basically anything that could go wrong did.

However, my good thing (b/c it hasn't gone wrong yet is that I'm going to pub trivia with cool people tonight. We went last week and had a great time, so we're trying to make it a weekly gathering.

Um, I got to see my cutie chunkie monkey and even though I didn't get to hold him just seeing him makes my heart melt a little.

The light was just the right way in my house when I got home tonight. I love when it happens and it makes me love my home that much more!

All of my patients were actually nice today!

H surprised me by planning a trip out of town for a late anniversary present. I am looking forward to getting away.

I got a Macbook air It is meant to replace the iPad that was stolen when I traveled to California. Much easier to do homework and facetime with DH on this thing.

Our dinner was great tonight (Polska sausage & sauteed onions and bell pepper with dirty rice).

I got to have lunch with bettydraper (Fancy Face) and her two awesome babies! and we went shopping after. I am sad I am leaving soon and we can't hang out more, but I am so happy we finally got to meet in person a couple times after "knowing" her for so long!

Her babies are so super cute and sweet kiddos (probably got it from their momma ;D)

LittleL had his first zero tears dentist appointment today. To say that it was a relief would be a serious understatement.

Actually, I have a second one. He tried to surprise me by showing me that he earned his submarine warfare pin but someone actually told me a couple days ago so I already knew. Either way I'm super proud of him. His CO told me that he did a really good job on the test and that made me even happier.

I kicked ass at CrossFit tonight and PR'd a few lifts by big amounts.

We ended up doing really well in pub trivia, plus a lot of great people. We were 4th out of many. Last time I went we were solidly in the middle. It was fun

Last night was $1 movie night at a local theater, so my friend and I made it a double feature. We saw Brave and The Avengers! And ate a ridiculous amount of nachos! It was awesome.

Yesterday started out pretty crappy but I got some uplifting words of encouragement that I really needed to hear. Nothing like getting your ego gut-punched and then stroked back to a healthy state of being.

This morning was pretty awesome, making plans for the weekend, L and I decided to pick up her glasses after her haircut, she is apparently pretty excited about these new frames declaring, "Look out, world!"

Moments like these are what makes being a parent especially enjoyable. Thanks for the laugh, kid.

I've been having some insomnia over the last week or so. Waking up out of a dead sleep around 3am and being wide awake until 6am. H won't have internet in his room until tomorrow so he's only been able to send a message here or there when he finds wi-fi. He happened to send one with a text app around 5am and we were able to talk until 6am. It was great!

And this morning, I finally found a comfortable position that allowed me to fall asleep immediately at 6am. I'm hoping I can manage to recreate this position tonight, it took quite the elaborate pillow fort to achieve!

Isaac was up at 7am and dressed by 7:30. Teeth brushed and face washed without me even asking. We have a day planned at the Air Zoo at a city about an hour away and he is apparently very excited! Planning something each week to look forward to seems to be doing wonders for him to get through this adjustment period of H being gone.

This morning started out not so good. Two of my clients lost their primary elections over night. Now, I'm two clients down...blah!

But my daughter quickly made up for the crappiness of that situation. She woke up smiling and WALKING! She is growing up way too fast.
