We added molding to our peninsula which means we're almost done with the kitchen. The idea was to coordinate with the Ikea Lidingo doors. Up next is adding crown and recessed lighting.

We are in the beginning steps of our kitchen overhaul on the cheap. We are replacing our countertops (including new sink and faucet), painting our cabinets (white), installing undercabinet lights, adding new cabinets to dead space above current cabinets, and putting up a new backsplash (grecian white marble subway tile).
We have been working on the counters for a couple of weeks, we bought Ikea Butcher Block countertops, stained them, and then have used Waterlox on them about 52 times (slight exaggeration).
This past week was super exciting, my husband and I tore down our old (fruit covered) backsplash, installed under cabinet lights, tore out the old countertops and installed the new countertops, sink, and faucet. We are currently working on the backsplash this week and will get into painting the cabinets next week. Here are some before and during pictures. I will post more as we get further!
Can I play even though mine is probably technically gardening, and that's a separate board?
We leveled out part of the backyard
using what was there plus 5 cubic yards of new soil
So now it looks like this:
It was backbreaking, and the result is hella boring, I know. But when we get some more bushes planted (we already planted 4 small hollies) and mulch it, it will look better, I swear!

Susie - We did that with part of our front yard in our last house and it was awesome! It was well worth the HUGE amount of effort it took. It made it so much more functional and we ended up with much better curb appeal.
