we spread 10 cu yards of mulch (I did have help for 3 hours yesterday). Then there was the weeding, the racking and bagging of leaves, finishing and then hanging the garden gate, 4 hours of sucking up water in my basement then hauling soggy cardboard boxes to the garage. Plus poop patrol and mowing the back yard.
Still need to weed the backyard, order another 5 cu yards of mulch, build and fill the last garden box, power wash the deck, clean off the patio furniture, weed the patio, plant veggies and get annuals. All by the 13th.
And somewhere in there clean the house and finish up some lingering inside projects. My life the next two weeks is going to be frantic.

How in the hell did you do all that in one day???
Not in one day, split between yesterday and today. Between the two days, I have spent at least 15 hours working and I still have so much to do.

I did most of it over the last week. Not sure how many yards, but it was 18 40-pound bags. :-P Still need to do more, but only 6 bags fit in my car at a time.

It's about 13 bags of 2 cu ft to make 1 cubic yard.
DS's Jeep can hold exactly one yard of bagged mulch, assuming you don't have to back out of any parking spaces.
I just don't have the energy to do it all at once. I have a little weeding left- side beds mostly. I need to put some mulch down. I was going to get DS to assist- beefy 21 year old who's off from work this week. But said boy has both swimmers ear and OM in his left ear.
Yesterday I planted 8 hydrangeas, two butterfly bushes, and transplanted a lilac, and ripped out the last huge honeysuckle on our property. That was all she wrote with pregnancy energy levels. We need to do some mulching, but it'll have to wait a little.
We spent a lot of time yesterday trying to figure out the layout and size of our driveway, and we still didn't get it done. It was too hot.
Today we did a lot of weeding and planted a bunch of little sedum plants (several varieties) and other random plants that I picked up on the clearance rack at Lowes. DH is doing some work on the irrigation right now, but my back is killing me so I am enjoying the air confitioning and hanging out with the dogs. The heat is like kryptonite to me, so I am just glad to be inside.

Last year we spread 16 cu yards in a weekend. That was stupid. LOL.
Anyway, this year we took it easy. Ish. For us. The weather yesterday was kinda crappy, so we didn't do much outside.
Weeded, covered, and planted the veggie garden. Weeded the Fireplace bed. Weeded the sandbox. Spot-weeded previously done beds. Mowed the lawn. Twice. Scrubbed all the screens.
And inside we washed all the windows. Then dusted and vacuumed. And purged. Lots of stuff added to the garage sale pile.
So. Not bad. We could have gotten more done, but I'm ok with what we accomplished.
I have decided, though, I need more late spring/early summer blooms. I've got my columbine Canadensis, and that's about it. My irises aren't up. My salvia's juuuuuuuuuuuuust starting. The rest is ground cover (creeping phlox and bugleweed).
Yesterday we made a new flower bed in front of our irrigation well pump. So we dug out the grass, laid the edging blocks, filled and planted. Then because that wasn't enough fun for 3 hours I decided to prune our row of azaleas since the blooms have dropped off.
