Help me with my family portrait outfit

I left one mall in tears today because I couldn't find anything that fit my criteria - solid color with some kind of sleeve, doesn't make me look too busty. I bought a couple of options but neither has a sleeve, which emphasizes my upper arms and armpit fat. If I was dressing for an event I wouldn't care, but pictures? I care.

I'll also include some other options I'm considering. I haven't tried on the white or red. The green Nordstrom dress also comes in a green print.

There's going to be about 7 pictures so bear with me. Forgive the lighting situation with the IRL pictures. If you think all of these suck, post some suggestions please! I'm trying to camouflage my middle, upper arms, and thighs.

A: Purple. Con: Wore purple for 3 month pictures.


B: Green.


C: Navy.


D: Blue.


E: Red.


F: Green Nordstrom dress. Con: Didn't love it. Top minimized my arms but there are pleats around the hips. Print version wasn't as bad.


G: White. Con: Looks kinda short.

And I wouldn't worry that you wore purple before? I think it's pretty common. Most people love and look best in a certain color scheme so they use it and pull it off time after time. My own grandma was red obsessed and wore it in every picture. 50 years of pics later it was her trademark and it was awesome.

I think the poor lighting is helping A out a lot, lol. I do like V-necks since the scoop necks make me look top heavy.

According to Macy's website A comes in green too. So maybe I'll order that one and the navy and try again in a week.

First, you look amazing. Seriously.

Second, the two irl pics you posted both look great on you. I would lean towards the second one since you already wore the first in pics.

My next choice would be c then f. I don't like the last one (length) and think the two long sleeve ones aren't quite right for pics in May/June.

You look awesome in Dress A! Order it in green (and navy?) and then you're done . If that doesn't work out for some reason, I'd probably pick E because everyone looks great in a wrap dress.

You look awesome in A!! I would choose that hands down. Also, I have been known to wear navy or purple in all of our pictures. I just like the color and it suits me well. I would not let that deter you at all!

The only one I really dislike is E.

I also love A. Now- did you wear that dress or you just wore purple? Honestly - no one other than you is going to pay attention to the fact you wore the same color. If you can get the dress in other colors and you like them too, great. But I wouldn't pass on it being purple just because you happened to wear the same color previously!

FWIW, I wear blue often in family pics. I try to mix up the shade of blue or the clothing item (dress, shirt, etc) But we look good in blue so I fall back on it often.

Ashley&Scott Pictures are in early July (indoors). I'm open to other options. I wore jeans and a top for 6 month pictures but they weren't flattering at all, for multiple reasons. I'm gun shy about repeating the look. H and DS's outfits are TBD. DS will likely wear a coordinating print to whatever color I choose and H will wear another color from the print.

ECB - I wore another purple dress back in the fall - it was long-sleeve.
