I plan on netflixing a lot of Cosby, Full House, Pete and Pete, etc. I really hate how every kid show know gives them this sense of entitlement- oh, she's just an average kid, but at night she's a MUSIC STAR!!! Um, no.
One thing they for sure won't be watching is The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Have you all seen this shit?! I saw a few minutes of it with my cousin and it was so uncomfortable!
no, actually, they are always very happy to be home. life at their mothers house is not that great, which is why a judge took them away from her and only gave her visitation
I'm sorry to hear that. Don't mind me, I'm just being assy.
I didn't think I watched a lot of TV growing up, but these threads have made me realize that I really did! TGIF was like an event in our household. After school, my sister and I would be in charge of chopping up veggies for pizza toppings, and we all made our own individual pan pizzas to eat on the living room floor on a blanket while watching TGIF.
Aw this gives me the warm fuzzies. And its totally our plan for Fridays! Family movie night!
My kids mostly watch cartoons still, but we all watch Mythbusters together. And Ninja Warrior. The latter usually results in somebody trying to scale the refrigerator.
There really are no sitcoms though, are there?
lol We also watch Ninja Warrior together. For a while, we were watching the Office with p&p. They didn't get the sexual jokes but Dwight slayed them regularly.
We don't have cable though so everything we watch with them is mostly old. We watch a lot of Gordon Ramsey stuff. That's pinky's boyfriend and she waits with baited breath for him to yell IT'S RAAAAWWWWWW! Then she cheers like he just espoused world peace.
They watch Dr Who, Star Wars the Clone wars, old sci fi shows like Star Trek and Sliders, the Pretender, and sometimes I watch Dr Quinn with pinky.
I think reality shows have taken the place of family sitcoms though. It seems we're expected to watch SYTYCD instead of the Cosby Show, American Idol instead of good times.
