For those not in the know, Rob Pattison has started doing interviews for his upcoming movie "Cosmopolis." These are his first public appearances since the scandal. He was eating icecream on The Daily Show Monday night, which I thought was pretty mellow. The press said he looked fantastic - I thought he looked a bit skinny and overall, he seems unglued.
On GMA, Stephanopolous came right out and asked about the break up. I just feel bad for the guy.
I haven't seen these, but I always was under the impression that their whole relationship was kind of a publicity stunt? Hopefully I'm wrong but I'm sure he will be just fine

He strikes me as someone who is uncomfortable with talking about himself, and is doing his best to deal with all the questions from the media. Of course everyone wants to know how he's feeling, but he's trying to deflect the attention elsewhere, which I can't blame him for.
I thought he was completely wasted on Daily Show. Seriously, he could barely string together a coherent thought.
I wouldn't have been able to either. That was awkward as hell.
I have always thought the relationship was a publicity stunt and am still on the fence. Either way, however, he was made to look like a fool in the whole thing and it has to suck hairy donkey balls to have to go out and discuss this mess over and over in front of the entire world.

I must confess that the manner in which this is playing out is indeed pushing me toward the "it was legit" camp. It's difficult to imagine any self-respecting human being putting up with this if it hadn't been real.
I also can't figure out why this story fascinates me, given that I don't give a crap about Twilight or any of these people.
I feel like most people say 90% of all marriages in hollywood are publicity stunts. I don't get that.
I don't think it was a publicity stunt. I think they are both socially awkward so they both rub people the wrong way in interviews. I feel really bad for him. But also, wasn't she only 18 when they started dating? I'm not making an excuse for her cheating but I feel bad that she has to live this mistake out in the public eye. People are never going to let it go.

TBF, they did about all they could to hide their relationship and avoid talking about it. Given that Hollywood has a history of staging relationships (or lack thereof) for the sake of promotion, I think the speculation was fair.
