I just found out that DS2 got accepted to his preschool's summer camp, thank goodness. Enrollment is done on a lottery system and the size is limited so I wasn't sure if he'd be able to go or not. So now he has something to do for the first 2 weeks of June
DH opened our safe and it smelled like mold. We don't know if it's from something in the safe or moisture getting stuck in there. We don't go in there often.
Our passports are a mess. I don't know if they're still usable once they dry out a bit.

C I finally has his appetite back after the stomach bug this weekend, but doesn't want to eat any actual dinner, I'm thinking fruit and toast for dinner. He wins and I don't have to cook, H is still at work and will be through dinner and probably bedtime.
DH is at an event for work tonight, so DD and I are having leftover filet mignon from DH's birthday dinner last night. She is chowing down! #fancytoddler
Right before getting pregnant with DD we went on a vacation where I bought $200+ worth of quality Lands End suits that would fit my boobs. I'm pretty sure I'll fit into the tops and bottoms again and it's perfect timing for this summer. Problem is I can't find them anywhere and I'm looking all over. I have tubs, boxes, a dresser and a closet full of clothes and no luck so far. I need to do a major purge but I don't have the energy.

This is the weirdest thing.
Weird! Put some rice in a pie plate and put it in there tonight to try a draw out the moisture.
Also I'm reading a biography about the English writer Penelope Fitzgerald which is interesting but a little depressing. She didn't start publishing until her fifties and then she won a Booker Prize with her second or third novel. So the author keeps making remarks about her "utterly ordinary" life of "obscure drudgery" before then. She was a mother and teacher most of her working life. I know it's silly but it's making me a little sad. Most of us will live totally unseen, obscure lives. Does that make them worth less in some sense?

We are out of town at a hotel and DS1 is having breathing problems. Ugh. Poor guy toughed it out all day but now even the nebulizer isn't helping enough.
We did have a great day despite him not being 100%. He sure doesn't do the man cold thing yet as I had to beg him to rest a bit.
DD slammed her head back right into my mouth. I think it temporarily knocked my jaw out of place or something. I have TMJ as it is, so it gets stuck often but damn it hurt to pop it back in. Still hurts in my jaw and ear hours later.
We had our first toddler meltdown induced "get to go boxes, pay the bill, and GTFO" dinner out tonight. I tjink it's pretty good that we got to 22 months before the first one, but my husband has been a dick about it since we got home. So I'm nursing a big glass of wine and not talking to him while I wait for him to apologize (he knows why I'm upset with him, it's not like I'm giving him the silent treatment without telling him his behavior is unacceptable).
ETA he apologized as I was posting this. Dude doesn't realize how lucky we've been with Aj's behavior in public up to this point and that it's all bound to go to shit eventually. Sometimes I wish he had his own version of MMM

I realized today at lunch that my underwear were showing through my dress. So I had been at work for 5 hours with my big blue undies showing. Fortunately I was at my desk for most of the morning and my office isn't that bright so it shouldn't have been too noticeable. That's what I'm telling myself anyways.

I should have been careful what I wished for. DS is 16 months old and never napped well at daycare. He still takes two 2+ hour naps at home but would take zero or 1 half-hour nap at daycare. Then he would pass out hard on the way home and sleep through being transferred to his crib and sleep until we woke him for dinner.
Last week he finally moved rooms at daycare and they have him sleeping on a cot. He has slept for over 2 hours every. single. day. He's so much happier when we pick him up! But now he's awake during dinner preparation and gets in the way while screaming for food. lol
1. I feel like a traitor because after two years of 99% Pampers use I just bought a case of Luvs. Minivans aren't cheap, y'all.
2. Second chiro appointment tonight and I felt awful ten minutes later walking around the supermarket. Not sure if it's related but I'm soaking in the bath now.
3. B was so excited to play with two three year olds today on the playground but one of them pointed to his Wubb and called him a baby. :-(

Like sick or your hips/back still hurt? Tel me to shut up if you have tried this or don't want another suggestion but have you tried wrapping your belly or using a support belt?
Eta - I'm sorry you are still hurting and feel like crap

It's hard to describe but the top of my belly aches, so nowhere near where the chiro worked. I always say "my baby hurts" to explain the pain.
Yes I wear Spanx plus a pregnancy support belt. I'm just unlucky. 31 more days!

As an outsider it seems like you only just announced your pregnancy!
DD just randomly peed her pjs. On purpose. H and I aren't happy. She's now having a meltdown since Ipad time is over since she wasted 10 minutes changing her pjs and cleaning up her blankets.
My sunroom is almost done! Light fixtures on Thursday. My doors will be here next week. They have to finish a spot in the floor (They're 3 boards short..lol).
I made a pretty awesome spinach and mushroom mac and cheese tonight.
Other than that. Life is precious girls. Really precious. And short. Way too short sometimes. It's really put in perspective the sh*t that really matters for me this week. There is no more humbling and puts life in perspective more than a baby funeral.
