Today is an awesome day, so I'm just going to Wine... ;-)
Trav surprised me by flying my best friend in for my birthday. He went to work today and took the baby to daycare so we can have the whole day together. We're going to get sushi and maybe massages! Best Birthday Present Ever! (I can't share this on facebook yet, because she's heading to her parents for a few days, since I work the rest of the week... and they don't know she's coming!)

:-( - my co-worker's lack of attention to detail has left me going thru the entire configuration with a fine-tooth comb again because it was done so half-assed by him.

;D - I'm shrinking! On July 30th I made a total life change and have been really sticking to it. As of the end of week 2, I had lost 17lbs already. Can't wait for this week's weigh in when I get home. Yeah!!! LOVE how my clothes are getting loose and when I get home I'm totally getting out some smaller ones to see if I have made progress enough to get back in them. It's like free shopping!

Whine - I still dont have my pics back from the adoption party yet. gah!

Wine - love WFH days. I've got the entire house blissfully to myself (well, and the 4 dogs and 1 cat, but i'm the only person!)

Whine - I've been sssoooo good at dieting/exercise for about 5 weeks now. The first 3 weeks I had good movement on the scale, but the last 2 I've been at a complete standstill. Throw me a bone for my efforts universe!!

Wine - I'm meeting DW and some of her coworkers tonight for a Ramadan breaking fast dinner. Yay for interesting cultural experiences.

That is awesome! Didn't he do that before? I seem to recall giving him major props for this previously.

Whine: My DW and I are in need of some personal time. We have been in a "relationship-funk" for months.

Wine: I am so happy that it matters to me that I miss my wife. I am married to the love of my life!

Whine: Our a/c went out again last night. the guy who came to fix it last month said it had a freon leak, but thought it would last through the summer. It lasted 4 weeks. They can't come until tomorrow so the wife and I are having a showdown as to who is going to stay home for the repair person (she has an important meeting scheduled, but can work from home. I don't have an important meeting, but can't work from home so I would have to take a vacation day.) Another hot night (literally) with my menopausal wife. Joy.


Wine: I have been getting a ton of good work done lately and feel accomplished. Also, I went to dinner with a college friend of mine last night and had a really good time!

Whine: I have to figure out this work situation.

Wine: JB was so damn cute when celebrating DW's bday. All day she kept saying "Happy Birthday Mama 2!"

Whine: All 4 kids are sick and I caught their bug.

Wine: My wife and I are putting major efforts into our marriage.

Decided to come over here and hang

Whine: My face is killing me from this sinus surgery.

Wine: My internship starts in two weeks and I am super excited.

Whine: C is having surgery on Friday and they scheduled him for 1pm. I cannot even imagine how hard it is going to be to not give him his bottle all day. That seems so cruel to do to a 9 month old!

Wine: Things with Jenn and I are looking much better. If they continue on this path I will be one very happy lady.

Whine: I haven't pass my kidney stone. Two weeks of meds and if that doesn't work a follow-up scan and surgery consult.

Wine: I spent the afternoon with Christine, not on pain-killers, out of bed/house and loved every minute of it.

Whine: I have had a crazy, overwhelming, frustrating week at work.

Wine: I'm done with work for the week and am at my ILs' for a long weekend.

Whine: we left vacation early cause N was having nothing to do with sleeping in a cottage. NOTHING.

Wine: k and I were on the same page, as always. We got half way through our coffee, looked at each other and said , let's get the hell out of here. Packed the car in 15 min and were headed home. n was asleep before we got to the highway. No matter what, we are always on the same page. I married my best friend, it makes difficult parts if life pretty damn easy.
