We have the Hero Dad book and it's my favorite of all the children's lit: military parent books we've found. It was also the one DD requested the most when DH was deployed. "I Wish Daddy was Here" was our second favorite, but this one beats it by a long shot.

I have a super cute video of her "reading" it aloud for Daddy Day that year.
