While M is busy being a sassypants, my big boy is now pulling himself to standing! He was standing up in his crib yesterday, and the day before he was pulling himself to standing on some boxes that we'd made as a barrier in the family room (we have to keep him contained!). He's also now got 7 teeth, working on 3 more. YIKES. He is growing up way too fast and I want him to stay little! He's such a goofball, though, and is just getting into all kinds of mischief. We're in trouble with this one!
I'll add a picture in a minute.
How are your kiddos? Are they doing anything new or fun?
Tman is now 9 years, 10 months old exactly. He is awesome. He's so grown up. He finishes 4th grade in 15 days (9 school days). He asked James last night about kissing girls.
Here is the most recent photo. You have to deal with me in it, too. I posted it on the Seattle board a couple weeks ago.
E is talking up a storm, copying everything I say. This week he's been going to daycare without throwing a fit when I leave for the first time in months! He is also refusing to sit in his car seat every freaking time we get in the car. It's a game and it's driving me crazy. He's also been soaking through his Jammie's and sheets a lot....I need to figure that out because it's getting really old.
oh no georgeharrison . kissing girls!!!!! no....he's so grown up!
Totally.
Well...I guess what happened was a neighborhood boy and a neighborhood girl got "married" yesterday. Tman came in and told me about it and I said, "Well, as long as there's no kissing..." and he said, "Oh, there is"! So, I told him if he decides he wants to start kissing girls, he needs to talk to Dad about it first. So, at his first opportunity, he did just that.
bjl has definitely gone backwards when it comes to potty training. she's fine during the day, and has been for about a year now...but nights. nights! we were doing so good! we were even barely wearing a diaper...but for the past several weeks, maybe even months now, she's been wetting every single night. we've put her back in a diaper every night..and it's just frustrating.
as for positives, though, she's so stinking cute lol. she is very fluent in both languages, she translates for kids, it's hilarious.
boy talks a lot, and he lets me know when he farts. and he's just so funny. he knows how to put on his own shoes, he dances, he LOVES taylor swift...when he hears "shake it off", he'll jump up and down saying "yaaaaaay" and then does the hand motions for "shake shake shake".

alias, maybe move up a size in diapers? Is he in overnights or regular? I'd get the next size up in overnights and see how it goes. Maybe also try pointing his little mister down? Does he sleep on his tummy? I noticed B wets through his diaper if he sleeps mostly on his tummy and I forgot to point his little mister down.

I do overnights & a size up, but I guess it's time to go another size. He dies sleep on his tummy and mostly wets his tummy. I try to make sure it's down, but I probably don't do a very good job. I'll try to be more vigilant and move up another size.
Not much in milestones for the girls lately. We are trying to get J to start using words more but she prefers hand gestures and mumbles. Basically just like the other big things (walking, crawling) she is stubborn and won't do it because we want her to she will just randomly start one day and thats it. So we are just kind of waiting for her to decide 'ok, I guess i'll start this talking business.' We know she knows a few words as she has used them in the past but the more we push the more she stops so, yeah. She is stubborn.
M is just all over lately. We are struggling a bit with attitude and listening. She is 4 going on 13 for sure. I am beyond belief terrified for teenage years with her.
Then we have the baby in utero. I am 36 weeks today and chugging along. I am hoping this is my last week of twice weekly nst tests. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check size again, then a follow up apt on Friday to see if I can go back to just weekly regular appointments or not. Before I know it he will be here and we still don't have much for even a list of names. Boy names are hard!
Also heres my bump pic from last week, repeat from the other board but I haven't taken one fore this week.

bkb is doing great. We have a follow up at children's to find out if she has a seizure disorder next week. She did another huge language leap and it seems like she is out of her regression phase so she's back to being a sweet kiddo again. She's also over her hold and the other virus she had so she has more energy too which is nice. Playing lots of pretend, playing out her favorite Sophia episodes.
Not a lot to report here - more sight words, sounding out words that I'm not exactly sure how he is figuring them out (he read "vanilla" the other day - completely out of context and it on something he had ever seen before...) so his reading is getting better. But so is his stubborn streak - his teacher says if he doesn't want to, then there's no way to convince him. I don't force him at home, we do some homeschool stuff at home but stop at the first sign of resistance-- I've got enough other battles to fight! School is winding down and he's excited to go back to his old daycare for the summer, he absolutely loves his old daycare and they do daily field trips and he misses his playmates there. Plus it's closer for us so we are looking forward to it as well! Otherwise...life is chaos as usual!
vanilla is kind of a tough word...sounds like he's a smarty pants.
My big girl will be three in about a month. Crazy! We are doing a Hawaiian luau theme party for her.
She's still very strong willed and defiant but getting better at listening. She will listen to reason and is understand I consequences better. We weaned her from her pacifier this past weekend so that's big. Bed time is a little tougher but not bad.
She has an amazing memory and recalls things that I am so surprised by. She was watching Nature with H. A special about apes. They showed a gibbon and she said "I saw a gibbon last weekend at [g's] birthday party." Last week is the only past tense time frame she understands. Lol. We actually went to the zoo for G's birthday like 3-4 weeks ago. So I was really impressed that she recognized what a gibbon was and remembered that we saw it at the zoo.
Finally at a real computer! Girls are good and exhausting! Little one is almost a year and cruising on furniture, opening cupboards, throwing food, and making life busy! Older one is generally good but gets really cranky after a couple days of no naps. Shes phasing them out but still making her do a "rest" time. Heres a photo from a long time ago
