I got a small puncture wound in my thumb last night from a screw/nail (not sure which it was). It's very small and the bleeding stopped after just a minute. I called my PCP and they have no record of me having received one, and since I've been treating there for 20 years, I'm pretty sure that my last booster is long expired. Would you bother getting one for this? I'm thinking better safe than sorry, but I also have a big fear of needles and remember reading that a Tetanus shot can be somewhat painful. Thoughts?

Go ahead and get it. Your arm will be a bit sore afterwards, but the more you use the muscle the faster it feel normal. It's once every 10 years, you can do it!
