to me.
This is so strange.
I sent her an e-mail last Monday, outlining my requirements and what I thought was most urgent for her to get done that I could assist with.
She didn't acknowledge the e-mail until Friday, and she said she'd be back to me early next week and nothing.
It's annoying me. And it's making me afraid that she's insanely disorganized. When we first talked I had heard that she needed someone after Labor Day and she was all like, "NOOOOOO RIGHT AWAY RIGHT AWAY!!"

Hmm, I would give her a pass for now. Maybe she's overwhelmed and disorganized, even more so than you thought. But it sucks that she still hasn't gotten back to you. Does she have to go througha board or anything to get hiring approval? Maybe that's taking time?
Is this the lady you were talking about on Thursday? She STILL hasn't gotten back to you yet?
ETA: Sounds disorganized. This doesn't not bode well for working with her in the future.
I got an acknowledgement e-mail of about two sentences either Thursday night or Friday. She thanked me for being detailed and said "early next (i.e. this) week".
I guess I will. She was talking about having an event in September but the local industry-related calendar is already packed.
I know she is busy, and she may be waiting for board approval, it's just making me worried that 15-20 hours a week is not even going to make a dent in helping her out.
I know. But honestly, you'd be surprised how much gets done at the 11th hour.
It's not getting it done, it's getting it done and getting people to come who have already shelled out for tickets and their free evenings for everything else that's on the calendar.
There are already events on 9/11, 9/14, 9/19 and 9/27. The np for which I already serve on the board is having a Networking Happy Hour on the 19th and I'm already worried that we won't get enough people because of the 9/14 event (a popular one that everyone goes to).
It used to be that companies would pay for everything and everyone, now they're being very choosy about what they pay for and how many and a lot of individuals won't go to these events if they have to pay their own way.
