We have no Target. No Macys. No JCPenny. No Homegoods or Marshalls. No Trader Joe's. No Bloomingdales. No Ulta.
But at least we have Sarah Richardson! Her new season of Sarah 101 starts in 2 weeks, and I don't think it's scheduled to air in the USA until late fall.
Well if it makes you feel any better, I don't get any maternity leave and I live in Canada.
I am self employed. I get zilch.
If I had a "real" job, I would get a full year of mat. leave at I think 55% of my wage. And my husband could opt to take 6 months of it if I want to go back to work early.
I, though, will probably take off 6 weeks unpaid and go back to work if we have another baby.
Canada also has poutine. Yum. And Coffee Crisp bars.
Five-pin bowling? We don't have that in the States.
Ice wine - try it. I love it! There are some wineries that make in in the States, although it's usually not made with the same process. True ice wine comes from grapes that are left on the vine until they freeze, then the grapes are harvested in the winter. Sometimes, wineries that aren't in the ideal climate for ice wine will pick the grapes, and then freeze them. You still get ice wine, but it's not as good as the ice wine from grapes that have frozen naturally on the vine, like what comes from the Niagara region.
I've seen Ketchup chips in the US, so it might be a regional thing.
I have seen them here in Michigan. Though I want to say that it is a fairly new thing.
I know that I saw them in OH while I was in school, so 2005-2009 ish, they were pretty easy to find. I have seen them in a few specialty stores here in VA.

I know they had ketchup chips here, my cousin loved them. I haven't seen them in awhile. And I have no idea what ice wine is but I don't drink (wine or period, really.. especially right now), so I can't say if we have that or not.
I'm a recent Canada to US transplant and I miss dill pickle chips, Shreddies, President's Choice brand stuff, Aero bars, real Smarties and did I mention dill pickle chips!?
Also, we have no HomeGoods in Seattle, so I add a desperate longing for HomeSense. I miss that store the most.
