I suppose Jon and Dany getting married is a bit too obvious, right? Not that I want them to, but it would seem a logical way to consolidate power.
She's already married someone she doesn't care for in order to serve the greater good - I don't think this is out of the question.
How could you not want to? Plus, EW already did a spread a few years ago that was basically their wedding album. IT HAS TO HAPPEN. I don't even like Dany but LOOK HOW HAPPY HE IS.
I will let him be with a woman other than me if it makes him that happy, guys. That's true love.

NO WAY. She sucks so much. Every scene with her, I'm all

Jon Snow needs a dragon in the worst way, but I really don't want him to end up with Dany. She is The Worst. The only reason I would want them to end up together is to see the look in Jorah's eyes when he realizes that Jon got his sword and his girl. But, greyscale, so I don't think Jorah's going to last that long.
I don't think Jon and Dany would get along. I also don't know how receptive she is going to be to his claim. She's a little more calm in the show but in the books she regularly mentions the usurper's dogs and hating various people. Idk, I don't think this ends with her being a stable ruler type.
In theory, Targaryens marry each other but I actually don't think Dany will ever rule in Westeros. It's the song of ice and fire. If Jon's lineage is what I think it is - he's ice and fire and there's no need for Dany to join him to get ice and fire.
And I bet Dany gets super pissed lol. Because he'd be able to control the dragon in a way she can't.
Now that Tyrion is with her I'm wondering if he'll ride a dragon because in the books he knows a lot about dragons and some people speculate that Aerys raped his mother and he's a Targaryen. But I'm not so sure about that. Could just be wild speculation. It's not like Jon's parents and the evidence that exists.
Didn't they say that the Targaryeans always married siblings? It is part of what led to their madness.Â
My theory is that they are siblings.Â
They aren't siblings. Dany is Jon's aunt. She is Rhaegar's youngest sister who was born at the end of the rebellion. Jon is (IMO) the son of her oldest brother (Rhaegar who was the heir to the throne) and Lyanna (Ned's sister).

Now thiiiiiiiis would be an amazing thing. They've created a whole new family dynasty. And Tyrian would be where, I wonder?

I have heard the speculation about Tyrion before - and that's why Tywin hated him so much.
I really like the idea of Jon warging a dragon. I hadn't heard that one before. How badass would that be?
I'm excited to see where the series is going with the story. Seeing Tyrion and Dany together made me feel like we may actually get resolution, even if it's not from the books.

So technically, who would be the rightful heir (assuming the Jon theory is correct)? It would be Jon, right? Because his father was the heir?
Also I want to say that I am loving the show 10x more than the books. I'm really impressed with the writers and the way they've adapted that massive source material into something far more interesting and streamlined without losing the spirit and world-building of the books.

I also hate her, but I think it's because I have accepted that she'll ultimately end up with Jon so it's a jealous hate. Also that she's a brat. People have been helping her for her entire life and she doesn't appreciate any of it.
Ultimately, I want them to get married so Jon is king.

Ok, this is what I meant then. I think Jon Snow is the child of Lyanna and Rhaegar- but for some reason I thought Rhaegar was Dany and Viserys father?
I told H that the white walkers make the walkers on TWD look like sloths.
lol I just realized that's why I was calling them walkers when I meant white walkers. Thank you to whoever it was upthread who explained the white walker/wight thing to me!

That Dani and Jon are? I thought Dani was the son of Aerys? That would make Jon her nephew.
Back in the books I loved the idea of Jon warging into a dragon - or maybe even Bran to help control them. But idk now, especially since the whole warging part of Jon hasnt' really been developed.

Wait. So why did Ned say Jon was his son?
As a promise to his sister on her deathbed, to save the baby. If it was revealed that the baby was a Targaryen then it would have been killed.

I think the whole idea of Tyrion being a secret Targ is also because there's three dragons, so there needs to be three riders. And Tyrion is a fan favorite so... In the book, there seems to be more contextual clues (his different color eyes, Aegon's proclivities towards Joanna etc.). I'm skeptical of that theory. I was also happy to see that Sansa found out that part of her family may still be alive. That was my favorite scene until the NK made the dead rise.

Wait. So why did Ned say Jon was his son?
I don't think he ever *did* say that. It was assumed when he came back from war with an infant and said it was his blood. He didn't lie, but he also didn't clear up the confusion.
