Because I'm bored, and I don't wanna write my work plan. Which is due at 5 o'clock. We have to come up with 8-10 SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Aligned, Realistic, Timebound). I have three so far: two of them are ones they sent us as examples, and the third is a variation of one of the other two. Womp womp.
Someone must have a random/flameful/AW or something, right?
LOL, funny you should say that. My normal sleeper has been replaced with a raving lunatic. I tried to tell her I couldn't sleep with her because I had work. She now cries before bed that she wants to "go downstairs and work."

Sounds delightful, Rock! Are you still working from home? Do you have to go back to the office soon? How's the knee? Could I ask more questions in a row? (and yes, yes I could.)
LOL Rock it means a lot! My mom had 2 knees replaced a while back so I know what kind of angle they're looking for. Not to mention my dad is apparently missing an ACL after a plane rash back in the day, so we talk about his joints pretty regularly. Glad to hear you're moving forward and making progress.

That's great news, Rock! I'm sure it's slower than you'd like, but you'll get there. The important thing is to not rush it; you don't want to re-injure it, especially before your big vacation!
I finally finished my stupid work plan, but now I have nothing to do. Flex days are sooooo long. It'll be worth it tomorrow when I'm home, but man. Today is dragging. I got here at 8, and I feel like I've been here for years.
And since I'm killing time, I'll vent about recruiters - why are most of them so useless? One contacted my husband on Tuesday about a job that sounded great, and he scheduled an interview with her for yesterday morning. She was half an hour late, then when she finally showed up, she spent 10 minutes telling him what to do/not do on a real interview, (he's 35, not 22), bitched about his (admittedly terrible) handwriting, and then said, "oh, you don't have experience with derivatives? Then we can't submit you for this job. You should look for training online, then get back to me." And that was it. What a freaking waste of time - she could have asked him on Tuesday when she didn't see it on his resume, instead of dragging him in for nothing. He said the rest of the jobs they have posted on their site are all Admin. jobs, so there's not even anything else listed that she'd be good for.
5KC, that sucks. It seems good recruiters are hard to find. DH has worked with some decent ones, and I had a great one who helped me find my last job. But I"ll never forget the guy who called my company asking if we had openings he could advertise for. And our site was shutting down 2 weeks later *sigh*
Rock, Dad's knee is great. He went on WW and lost about 20lb, plus he bikes an insane amount of mileage most days. He says the quad strengthening has really helped with the knee. He said he also has 2 partial meniscus tears. So he's not doing bad for an old guy
