I recently moved my vanity right into a window alcove, and I'm regretting it. I sometimes would rather be happily oblivious to my pores and chin hairs.
I always think this when I check something in the visor mirror. So much natural light + close up mirror = tragic. WHERE DID THESE PORES COME FROM?
I don't understand people who love shopping on vacation. I went up to SF this weekend and the people I went with spent 3 hours in Macy's. We have a Macy's here! I was so bored and perplexed.
I'm really happy for Caitlyn that she's living her authentic life now, but I don't think she's gorgeous or anything. She looks like Bruce, but with a wig on. Her body is banging though!
I am thinking of dressing my girls all steampunk and taking some pics by some old train tracks. I think this makes me twee and I will be 37 in less than a week. I am also not a blogger. I just like that kind of stuff. I know I should be ashamed, but I am mostly proud of my mad creativity, lol.
When I was drunk on Friday night, I accepted the uber surge fees and paid $170 for my ride home :/
How far did you actually go?! If it was like a $50 original rate, this isn't TOO shocking with surges, but if it was a $10 ride, I'm  right now.
I fully expected a $50-75 fare. I should've just taken a cab. Anyway, lesson learned. And this is why when h and I have plans in the city we just Priceline a hotel room. Not much more than a ride home (actually a hotel room would have been for sure cheaper than uber at bar close).
I just read an email from Natalie's teacher saying her first grade teacher for next year isn't going to work out. They are putting her with a new teacher from Las Vegas. I am f****** furious right now. The first teacher would have been perfect. She has worked with kids like Natalie before and I know nothing about the new teacher. And now I'm crying like a moron.
Did they give you any more information about why it wouldn't work?

nahoku I feel like that is something that would happen to me.
I haven't trusted myself to download uber because I'm afraid if I could ride in a taxi without having to hand over actual cash I would use it all the time.

Holy hell, how far did you have to go? I may be mistaking you for someone else, but are you in MN - if so, I can't imagine where you had to go to rack up $175 unless there are some extra charges/fees.
Laying in a hospital bed for three days gave me ample plucking time. It was needed.
I just showered and shaved everything finally. I felt like a damn wildebeest. I am one hairy mofo.
That first shower is always amazing, makes you feel like a million bucks
This was actually the second shower, but it was a lot better because I have a little better rang of motion and I had my own toiletries and I was able to shave. I almost passed out from getting overheated/worn out from the effort, but I did it! So worth it. And the drain comes out Wednesday. Yayyy

Uber surge fees will easily cost $175.
Seriously?! That's crazy.
ETA: why is it so much? $175 is more than twice what I would pay to take a taxi from downtown MN to a city about 18 miles north.

We'll, they've figured out how to charge a shit ton of money for a "cool" taxi service so good for them ... ? I'm just glad I learned about their insane fees today since my mom and I were going to try and use uber later this week after we went shopping and drinking - or maybe it should be drinking and then shopping.

Are you talking about the Macy's in Union Square? I love that one. It's a really good one. Not all Macy's are created equal.
Out-of-towners get 10% off, even on sale items. Just go to the sixth floor to get the special card.

Then my goal for 40 is to look like Bruce Jenner with a wig at 65.
Sorry, but, if I look like that in two years, I will kill myself.
When I was at the Denver GTG I used Uber to get to Denver airport. It was a Sunday Morning and the couple times I did the fare quote I got the surge warning. My cheap ass closed the app and got back in a few times, the surge then disappeared. I do realize this would not have helped the poster leaving a bar( I had to book the Black car coming home from a bar at 2am on fight night) however if you get a surge at an off time , try what i did.

Yup. I always wait a minute or two and the surge usually goes away. They only surge price to entice drivers to get out on the road.

I did not know this and will be eternally thanking you when I'm in NYC and getting an extra 10% off my shopping.
