Yeah. Sounds about right for recruiting. Sorry, dude.
I know it. I joined an FB for spouses of recruiters and at least virtually everyone hates it. Except for the crazies who want their spouse to go 8412. I don't talk to them, I think someone's taken over their brain.
They've got big dreams of being the wife of the Sgt. Major of the MC. lol
IT IS NOT WORTH IT. every time they talk to H about being a 12, and every time they say E7 and he sort of considers it, I tell him I might divorce him. And I'm taking the dogs. And then he realizes how much he misses the fleet and he gets it together.
He'd go DI. For sure. He knows RD sucks balls.
I catch him watching videos of boot camp and laughing, so I know he'd enjoy doing that. And he misses the fleet a lot. A LOT. I'm like "Dude. Re-enlist!" And he's always like "No. They won't take me anyway."
Bro. I bet they would.
Instead, he tries to convince me to commission. lol No.

That's what I mean, they'd take him if he came back in for RD.
I used to feel that way about the shipyard. Like, it would have been easier all those days if he just hadn't come home at all. He would easily go a week without seeing daylight because he was inside that submarine so much and it was in drydock.
And I know nothing whatsoever about Navy recruiting so can't help you out there. I only know that they have no continuance procedures whatsoever. People would get shuffled around and it would take weeks if not months for DH to A) discover the person he was emailing had moved on and B)the contact info. for the replacement person. Now that he is in the service detailing has been exactly the same way.

Our situation is not the same but it still sucks. So I know the feeling. E has been gone for two weeks at a time since April 6 and wont be done with training until August 1st. This week I've finally decided its getting old and I want him home. It was fun at first now its just annoying. So big hugs to you Stan.

That sucks, Stan. RD was the b-billet my exH was slated for. He was on the list (twice) and got his recruiting school date. We dreaded the idea of recruitig, because we didn't know anyone who had a good experience. His orders were cancelled last minute.
