When can I use breathable bumpers and are they helpful for a kid who runs his head into the rails?
DS is 8 weeks and keeps waking himself up running his head into the crib rails. We put him down right in the middle, but he turns himself a full 90 degrees and will wake himself up because his head is hitting the rails. I'm not really sure what to do.
I think you can use a breathable bumper as soon as they are in the crib/right away. I don't know that it would do anything for his head running into the rails. It seems to mostly be to keep limbs from getting stuck in the rails. Ours wasn't very "cushy".
Ok. I'll just leave it then. He usually goes right back to sleep if I move him away from the rails, so at least there's that. Maybe I should try laying him down the other way since he always spins the same direction. He would end up in the middle of the crib that way. Time to experiment!
