Good way to cover metal feet on bed?

I'm interested in doing that faux-upholstered boxspring that I see all over Pinterest, but is there a good way to hide the current metal feet from the bed frame?

In the Urban Nest tutorial they just attached furniture feet directly to the box spring and you don't use the bed frame.

I saw that but I'm not a huge fan of the idea. Mostly because our bed is a TempurPedic and outrageously heavy so I worry about the feet supporting the foundation properly. Plus I just realized that even if I do upholster the foundation, I'll still have the metal frame to deal with around the edges. Looks like I'll either have to man up and buy a nicer frame or give in and attach the feet directly. Boo
