General Proboards question

I was just adding an avatar and saw the 'unactivated' 'activated' option. I guess I am 'unactivated' now. Are we supposed to activate our accounts and what does that mean? Is this something I'm needlessly worrying over at the moment?

I don't think it really makes a difference. Isn't activating it just clicking on a link in your email or something?

Yeah, I don't think it really makes a difference. I am activated but I have seen some posters that are unactivated and it doesn't seem to make a difference with their posts (I haven't really paid that much attention though, so I could be wrong).

Ok thanks. I thought I read something about then deleting unactivated accounts. I figured I was needlessly worrying though.
