Compile a list of news sources with their slants: Liberal, Conservative, Whack-job (for both sides), and Satire. Or whatever other designation you would like.
I'll come back and put them into one post and link it in the sticky thread.

But, is the problem really that we don't know that some of our sources are biased. I mean, most people who post a mother jones article, say, "I know this is Mother Jones, but it brings up point X,Y,Z." Maybe I am grumpy, but I don't get this whole exercise.
Huh, that chart is really interesting. I've just been kinda of rolling my eyes when those leaning right make claims about the "liberal media." But from this chart, it seems like its true. The majority of the mainstream media outlets do seem to lean left. I don't think I actually realized that was true.

yeah but 9 lean left while there are 8 hard rights. i would take a leaning org - left or right - over a hard line any day
Granted. But I wouldn't call most of them mainstream. For me, I can correctly identify the hard lefts and hard rights. But I was under the impression that more of the lean left were actually center. I knew that MSNBC leans left, but I didn't realize that ABC and CBS do as well.
I would also be interested in when the hard right outlets were started, or became popular. I wonder if it was in part a reaction to the left leaning mainstream.
Where do we put local news in this? Do we just have to take it with a bit of skepticism, because some news stations and local papers have been accused of leaning one way or the other for local politics?
