We got good news. The realtors are agreeing to take a .5 commission cut (so 1% total). Which will save us a little over 1k. He's doing it because he feels bad that we are writing such a big check. Which is nice.
He's been talking to their realtor and they know that the house has some seals broken in a few windows and that the HVAC system is old. So, they are prepared to take on that cost. We left our W/D (HE). So, that is going to be a big savings to them.
We're moving locally, not far. I haven't posted about it much on D&R but I have been on Buying a Home for a while asking questions. We decided to list/move while rates were low. We're sort of making a lateral move as far as house size goes, but into a school district with full day K for DD, and it cuts my commute in half.
We listed in November and were finally under contract by the beginning of April. Our buyers do not speak a word of English so dealing with them on every level sucks, and our sellers think nothing of taking weeks to reply on everything. We are set to close 5/31 barring any further dramas.
