Female veterans don't feel respected

I'm sure it's not really the same, but there are plenty of civilian careers where women have to fight for respect and consideration, too. The last time I worked a convention for my company I spent most of it being dismissed as a booth babe, for example, instead of one of the staff members there to specifically answer technical questions... I've had students in my workshops (that I am teaching) ask me to get them coffee.
