No, you are still eligible. However, if you use that insurance and Tricare, that insurance must be your primary with Tricare as your secondary. Sometimes, Illumine talks out of her ass.

This is true of any insurances. If you have your own your spouse's becomes your secondary.

This sounds accurate according to what I have encountered thus far. The clinic I go to now gets their record-keeping ass backwards a lot so they ask me every single time if Tricare is my only insurance and I forget where I read it but I'm fairly certain that the reason why the ask is because Tricare is only supposed to be billed after the other policy pays their share.
How old is the OP? If she's a minor, her child can be covered by tricare I believe for the first 6 weeks, but after that, the grandchild is uncovered. I only know this b/c of pregnant teens when I was overseas. After that initial period, they have to send the teen and her newborn back to the States.
They're really aggressive here about checking to see if we have other insurance. I have to show a card every time I show up. Never had that overseas.
As a s/o question, will a child dependent now be covered until age 26 due to ACA?

I'm assuming she's not a minor since she has insurance through work. I guess a minor could get insurance through their job but I've never had experience with that.
1) TRICARE coverage under "regular" TRICARE program runs through 21 or 23 if the dependent is taking a FULL course load. Ee had to provide my SDs transcripts every semester to keep her eligibility up.
2) TRICARE Young Adult 21/23 - 26 coverage is only applicable IF the dependent IS NOT ELLIGIBLE for employee sponsored health care (not, could t afford it or forgot to enroll or choose not to take it that year - IS NOT ELLIGIBLE for the employers care)
And while I am sure that there are wonder-women out there, that can work full time, take a full course load and do it while pregnant, the odds of this being the case are slim and the nature of the OPs own post make me comfortable is my assessment of the situation.
So unless the OP is under 21, which I did qualify in my original response, the OP is recieving TRICARE fraudulently. Over 21, not taking college courses full time and employees means not eligible for TRICARE Health care. And that means any care provided is not covered. Which means TRICARE can and will look for reimbursement.
If TRICARE goes after the retiree spouses/dependents who have not remembered to renew their ID cards, do you honestly believe they won't go after a "young adult" misusing the monies?
Ilumine, the thing is you come off a little whackadoo, regardless if you are telling the truth or whatnot. With ALL THE RANDOM CAPSLOCKS you sounds like YOU'RE YELLING at people. You totally come across a little Springs1, all you need is to add some 1!!111!!!!!! ****** to things, and you're basically there. (if you don't know the crazy cakes chains restaurant enthusiast/critic I will link some posts)
You can get your point across without sounding so manic.
