Cat sick...question?

So my cat has thrown up a bunch today/tonight. It started last night and the vet is seeing her tomorrow. Should I take her food away and leave the water? I feel so bad for her

And on a lighter note...why do they only do it on carpet?! Even when she starts heaving on the hardwood, she walks to the carpet...

What kind of food is it? Any possibility of hair balls? I normally leave it out bc if they stop eating for 24 hours or so you risk fatty liver. Maybe switch her to boiled chickened chicken baby food. Is she peeing? Stool ok? It may be she's developed a food sensitivity or picked up a stomach bug.

I'd leave her with food. Make sure you're monitoring everything that kellbell mentioned so that you can report that to the vet.
