How much did you pay and how long did it take? Luckily, all of the things are in the place that we want them (so no need to move plumbing), but we just want to update everything. New glass enclosed steam shower, soaking tub, double vanity. New tile floor. I know things will vary based on the specific materials you choose and what part of the country, but I'm just trying to get a range so that I can see if it's even possible to work it into the budget this year. Thanks!
Love the title! I was thinking "yeah, I do kinda want to burn down the bathroom after a stomach flu" lol
Seriously though, we did a full remodel about 5 years ago. Turned one bathroom into two and replaced everything (plus tile). The plumbing ran us $2500. H did the rest of the work himself and I scoured deals for the fixtures. If I recall, all in was about $12k.
My coworker is on the tail end of a complete master bath update. They are on week 10. It was supposed to run 8. Cost $35k. I know they went with travertine on most of the surfaces.

Holy crap, 10 weeks! $35k is way more than I'm looking to spend. I was hoping to get it done for under $15k.

We had a small 'cultured marble' shower with a linen closet next to it. Linoleum floors and a basic sink/counter.
After 8 weeks we had a basic tub sized shower - fiberglass walls & a sliding glass door, new porcelain tile floor and a new linen/vanity cabinet with nicer marble top. We paid $8k for it. What we have is mostly basic with some nicer touches (the floor & counters). Our bathroom is only 5x8.

I think ours was around 10-12k but we didn't really move any plumbing and didn't replace the toilet or the bathtub. I can't remember if that included the vanity or not (that would be an extra 2k). So it was demo'ing the shower, vanity, tile floor, and removing old vanity. Tiling floor, walls (wainscoting with subway tile), and shower. Replacing vanity, installing new light sconces (kept original overhead lighting), new medicine cabinets. Measuring and installing frameless glass shower doors and new faucets. I think it was a month or so. It was really just a pick me up on the original bathroom fixtures.
We half DIY/ half hired out our master bath and it was about $12k in the end. Half of that was floor and shower tile, shower glass, and install. DH and I did all demo, re-framing, plumbing, and all finishing.
I completely DIYed my bath room 10 yrs ago for around 2,500. We gutted everything and replaced everything but the tub. It took us two weeks. We did the demo and drywall one weekend, I painted and sanded during the week, and we did tile the next week.
We replaced everything in my current master bath for 10k (non DIY) about 2 years ago. We didn't do a glass shower cause I love my tub and there was only room for a tub or shower. Our contractor sucked and it took at least a month.

We have received 2 quotes so far for ours, one was $42k and the other was $35k. I was hoping to spend $25k, so we are pushing it off (and will look to get other quotes).
We did ours for between 3-4k (it was awhile ago and I can't remember the exact figure), but we tiled ourselves and didn't replace the existing tub. We did have our contractor move plumbing and he had to do some demo and drywall, though.
It took us somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 weeks. It was our only bathroom. The contractor finished in a weekend while we were away, and we had the bathroom functional within a week. There were some other minor issues we had to finish up (like adding trim), but we did it as fast as we could!

We are in the middle of it. It will end up being $40k, but there is a lot of other stuff included (like $8k for the plumber, framing and new windows). But we are also saving a ton by doing a lot of work ourselves (fwiw, drywall sub thinks this is easily a 75k reno).
The materials get expensive quick. The custom cabinet is $3k and tile (just material, no installation) is $4k. I think the shower fixture was at least $1k. Add in everything else, labor and profit, that's $25k easy.
My sister recently got a quote for $15k, but that only included mid-low end finishes (she wants a shower pan vs tile).

We did a full master bathroom remodel and it took about 3 weeks. We did the following for 10K (includes all labor) tiled floors, ripped out and retiled walk in shower (4x3) added lighting, new exhaust fan, shower fixtures, glass shower doors, new 63" vanity with limestone top, new mirror, faucet, two light fixtures above bathroom mirror, new bi pass doors in adjacent closet, laminate flooring in bedroom (14x14), new carpet in hallway and staircase. Once we got going we couldn't stop! We live in a LCOL and tile ran between 2-4 sq foot. Our biggest splurge was the vanity ($1200) and limestone top ($600).
We did ours recently for about $15k (I think the grand total was $14,9-- something, lol). It took about 7 weeks. We didn't have to have any plumbing moved, but some did need upgrading and we had some electrical wiring added as well.
This included a new soaking tub, shower fixtures, tiled shower/tub, tiled 1/2 walls and tiled floor, plus a new sink, medicine cabinet, shelving, light fixtures and shower fan/vent, toilet, and then small things like towel bars, TP holder, etc.
I guess maybe I'm not sure what constitutes "high-end", but I love the stuff we got and, to me at least, it is very nice. It is all Kohler and Moen. It seemed pricey to me when we bought it, but I guess there must be much nicer stuff out there given some of the prices in this thread.
We DIYed one of our bathrooms in a full remodel several years ago. Since we did it ourselves around jobs and such it took around 10 months from original demo to completely finished. It ended up costing around $7K. We tore out everything including walls, floor, and ceiling back to the studs, but didn't have to more any of the plumbing. We did salvage what we could which basically just ended up being the cabinets of the vanity which we repainted and the mirror (although I wish now that we had gone ahead and replaced it).

I went in the "high end" bathroom and kitchen place by me when I was looking for fixtures for my guest bath, and their bathroom sink faucets were like $800-2000, so there is definitely some super pricey stuff out there. I don't plan to buy super high end fixtures, though. I am figuring $30k because we want to move plumbing and walls and have two custom vanities built, in addition to doing all the flooring, a new tub, a big tiled shower, etc., and it's a big room (like 15x15 or so). It I didn't need to completely re-configure the room and the room were smaller, I can see $15k being pretty doable.
Oh yea, that's crazy, IMO. LOL. I almost died when I saw that the shower fixture we wanted (and bought, #notMM) was $1000. I can't imagine a sink faucet for that much. Is it dispensing liquid gold?
