Chambray shirt styling?? (from a newbie)

I am a newbie (just found this board about 2 weeks ago) and have decided to come out of hiding!

I have this shirt and am trying to find ways to wear it other than how it's worn in the pic. I plan to get a pair of red skinny jeans soon, but what other pants can I wear it with? I already own very dark blue skinny jeans, but I can't get past the old "jean-on-jean" faux pas. Suggestions?

I think any color skinny jean would work - I really like the jade green and raspberry/plum colors that are out right now.

You could also pair it with a colored pencil skirt for a dressier option.

I'm not sure dressier pants (i.e., work pants or whatever) would look right with that shirt. Oh, but leather leggings might look cool too.

Think beyond pants. :-) I love wearing my chambray shirt with maxi skirts, tied over sundresses. I think wearing it over a lace top and dark jeans would be cute too.

For the fall, it can be layered under dresses and sweaters.

Chambray shirt can really be worn with about anything, even with other denim (in a different wash). I really like it with printed pieces, like a leopard pencil skirt, stripes, polka dots! Also, take the rough chambray shirt and pair it with something super girly, like a lace skirt! Wear it loose over a fitted/skinny pant or belted to nip in the waist or tucked in!

I like to layer mine- put a statement necklace over top, belt it over a dress, tuck it in to a skirt...
