Your conversion kit cost more than DD's IKEA bed and mattress combined.
I know IKEA furniture isn't "forever" furniture, but that bed did the trick for us when DD absolutely needed it (age 2-ish). At some point, we'll decide whether we want a bunk bed or trundle bed in her room and make more of an investment. A full bed is never going to happen in her room, there's just no space for it.
Yep. And we spent double that on her mattress, making it the most comfortable bed in the house. And you will LOVE the mattress protector. Saved us from a messy mattress nightmare a few times.

We thought we were being MM by accepting a used bunk bed. It's an Amish piece and very good quality, but buying a full and twin mattress and bedding for both is expensive.
