Has anyone tried it? Have anything to say? DS is still BFing, but I need a plan B if I don't have enough pumped milk for him should I leave him with a sitter while we're traveling next month. I'm still doing my research, but anything cow-based makes me nervous because DD, DH and I are all sensitive to cow's milk as are many members of my family (my dad, my sister, some first cousins, etc.).
Tagging @myblue as well so she can tell me if goat's milk formula is available in France, in which case I wouldn't need to pack anything.
And I'll pre-empt the "just leave regular goat's milk/no formula" people by saying that if I do a day trip with DD, I'd have to leave a minimum of 20 ounces for the day, which seems like a lot to just go cold-turkey to a non-formula drink.
Thanks for your interest in Kabrita! If you haven’t already, I’d encourage you to read about other parents’ experiences with Kabrita Goat Milk Formula on Amazon. And of course, if you want to ask us any questions directly, please email us at info@kabrita.ca. All the best!
I'm also interested to read about goat's milk... DD isn't tolerating something well in her diet, which is resulting in once weekly poops that make her bum bleed . It's the saddest thing I've ever heard when she hysterically screams.
Even though she never had a problem with me eating dairy while BFing, I'm going to try and cut dairy to see if it makes a difference. I've tried all the other advice from the docs. My IBLC says to just breastfeed, but I'm ready to introduce something else in addition to BM in a few months.

DH has some cow's milk sensitivities in his family, so we've been giving DD goat's milk. We introduced it right around a year, even though she's still breastfeeding. She seems to enjoy it (though she's never had cow's milk, so doesn't really have a basis for comparison) and hasn't had any issues with it. The only issue I've had with it is that it's expensive.
I haven't ever used goats milk formula, but I just google searched 'lait infantile chèvre' and it shows up in the 'bio' or organic store type foods. I'm not exactly sure where you'd buy it, but if you want to order it online and ship it to my place, you can do that too.

Awesome, thanks! I will poke around the "Bio" stores when I arrive. I have at least a week before I attempt leaving DS with a babysitter for an extended period of time, and that could well fall through anyway.
