Yes or no? At first I was against it, but now I am thinking it may be a good idea because they are easier to clean. Any pros/cons that I may not know of?
Yes. Leather is so much easier to clean. We've only had cloth in rental cars and I'm shocked at the amount of cracker that has been ground into cloth in such a short period of time.
This reminds me of a question I had the other day - do you have anything underneath your car seats? We'll be switching to convertible seats next month. I thought about putting a receiving blanket underneath - not folded so it'll be very thin.

I got cloth because I was looking for the most basic trim with the most basic features when we unexpectedly went car shopping earlier this year. Cloth's been fine so far and I plan to drive this car to the ground so hopefully DD grows up to be a neat freak like me.

Nothing under the car seat - everything I've read says you're not supposed to.

Definitely leather -- so much easier to clean!
I don't put anything under the carseats. DH puts a very thin towel to protect the leather in his car. As long as it's a thin towel, it's not supposed to affect the install.
One of our convertible car seats tore a hole in the cloth in my old car. Plus it was always gross and I don't even let my kids eat in my car. The leather in my new car are much easier to keep clean.
They make me feel like I peed my pants when they're on. It's weird.
YES! The first time I was in a car with cooling seats I didn't know they were on and I was like um, I think something spilled over the seat, my pants are wet? And my friend was dying laughing and she was like nope, it's the cool seats. So weird.
