1. We finished putting in the garden, went to Ikea, did a LOT of weatherizing around the house since we're coming up on AC season and it is $$, and watched a couple movies.
2. We're in the Sierra foothills (about 1 hour from Sacto) and it is 60 degrees out right now, headed for a high of 77. Beautiful day scheduled!
You're in the foothills?? I'm from the foothills!! So homesick. We went to a surprise party on Saturday, then I did pretty much nothing for mothers day ( ) and our weather is rainy and muggy yuck.

No way! What town/area? (We're currently in Auburn but that may change when/if we buy a house)

The closest thing I did to D&R over the weekend was buying a vintage light bulb for our new kitchen light fixture I ordered from Ballard. I got to sleep in yesterday, which was exciting for me!
It's warm and rainy here today, but we had nice weather over the weekend.
Did you do anything exciting this weekend? Not really! We went flower shopping for my planter pots and for the yard on Saturday. It takes us forever to decide and agree upon anything. We were at Lowes then a local nursery and then back to Lowes. I planted one pot while DH spray painted our other two a bronze color. I was able to plant 8 dahlia's in our front yard before it got too dark. Yesterday was spent switching out my winter wardrobe for my spring/summer clothes. After that was finished I decided to clean out our basement. I worked from 6am-8pm with a two hour break to have brunch with my mom and MIL. And I'm still not finished. Grrr!
How's the weather where you are? I'm in Cincinnati and after a chilly rainy day yesterday it's supposed to be all sunshine and in the 70's. Unfortunately I won't get to enjoy much of it since I have to work all day.

I grew up in Modesto and my family has lived in Sonora for 10 years
And to answer the original thread... I just witnessed the most insane downpour I've ever seen in my life. We've had a record drought this year and in 1 hour the backyard lake went from the lowest level in history to the highest.
I wish I would have taken a before pic, but here is the closest comparison. This is when the deck was being built a few months ago, but the water was about 3 feet lower than it was then.
We poured our patio, 10 yards! It was a long day. We need to acid wash it this week and seal it in a month. It looks amazing when it's wet, but until it's sealed it looks very chalky.
we went yard sale-ing, hoping to snag a few of the remaining items on our want list, but no luck. weather is ah-mazing. nearly 80*. went to the beach for a bit sunday afternoon.
