I'm back on the phone with the IRS this morning.

We are having a work lunch today and it's being catered by my favorite Italian place! I'm so excited!!!

I went on a date with a super sweet guy last night. I knew going into it I wasn't really attracted to him, but we have some stuff in common and he is super sweet, so I wanted to give him a chance. Now I feel bad because I just don't see anything beyond friends with him, but I can tell he likes me. :/

This week is dragging, I feel like it should be Friday already!

Date night with NG tonight. We haven't seen each other since the 14th, since I've been out of town and it just doesn't really work during the week with our schedules. My parents are going to watch my son and NG and I are going to see Jurassic World in 3D and then going to dinner.

Exactly a week from now, we'll be on our way to the beach again! We're going to the Gulf and I'm all paranoid about the flesh eating bacteria cases, so I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping my son out of the ocean since he usually has cuts and scrapes. I hate going to the beach and not being able to actually get in the water. The condo has an amazing pool, but it's just not the same.

While at the gym this morning, the power went out on the entire block. I was in the middle of a set, so it was a bit weird. Right after it happened, I said, "nap time!" There were 3 guys in there at the time and none of them laughed! Well, at least I thought it was funny.   (high5)

Gulf of Mexico should be just fine - just be smart and look for beach closure notices/signs posted.  And HAVE FUN!

I got out of the shower this a.m. and went to my dresser for underwear and bra. Put my hand in the drawer and I touched something creepy crawly. IDK if it was a roach or a spider or what, but OMG HORKHORKHORK. I washed my hand ten times and I still feel gross. It scurried off into the depths of my dresser (wimper), so I don't even know what it was. But with all of this rain, it's no wonder the creepies are coming in.

So now I have to burn everything to the ground. Ugggggggggggggggggggggggggggh.

I know, I know.  I'm usually the type of person who doesn't care because "it'll never happen to me", but out of the 8 cases so far (I think in just FL alone) 2 people have died.  I'm just being overly paranoid because my son is 2 1/2 and almost always has cuts or scrapes and he gets raw places from his swim diaper chafing.  I'm probably just being THAT mom.

I called to set up a passport appointment and there is a damn 3 week wait. Which I'm still fine on time, but OMG. Why is the wait so far out? If I go home soon I may swing by the little town post office that does passports because you don't have to set up appointments there...that's how little town it is, lol.

I am doing laundry right now. I need to go by the store later, but really that's it on my must-do list. So I see myself hanging out by the pool later and hopefully finishing up the book I'm reading.

I start my new job today! (The one I interviewed for last weds) since I'm still on vacation from my old job until July 1, I'll be working at new job until then and then go back to old job until my two week notice is up, and then return to new job. Confusing but it's going to allow me extra training time with the person I'm replacing.
And, 20% raise. I'm so excited!

I found a 15 year old kid on Next.Door who wants to earn some money this summer. I have a bunch of stuff that needs to be done. He quoted me $65 to clean my gutters. It's an hour job usually because my house is tiny. WTF? I can get a professional company to do it for just bit more and they will repair loose fittings, etc. along the way.

I had a second date last night with someone promisisng (yes I was on a dating break, but he randomly popped up in my app and really piqued my interest). But he just got out of a relationship is "seeing what's out there." whomp whomp. I feel like dating apps need an option for "when did your last relationship end?"

Some old friends are in town for the day and we're meeting for dinner, I am so freaking excited! I haven't seen them in a couple of years and I'm looking forward to M meeting them.

Luckily, I'd thrown a load of mixed laundry in the dryer before I went to bed last night, so I had stuff to wear from the dryer.  However, I had to change my outfit b/c the black underwear I had in the dryer would show through my white dress.  

Tonight, I'm boiling all of my clothes.

It was busy today, but I did get some stuff done. My boss is back tomorrow and I have to train him and my coworker on payroll tomorrow. Not too excited about that. Here's hoping the payroll program cooperates during the training.

I'm packing and making cookies for the weekend. I'm leaving after work tomorrow, so I want to be ready to get on the road. It's a weekend in NH with a few BNOTB-ers that are scattered all over, so I'm super excited to see everyone!!

Also, I fucking love my job. I never actually requested Friday off, but I told my boss Tues I was going to be out and he was just like, okay. It's just the two of us anyway. lol And since I've been putting in extra hours for summer hours (so I can leave early on Fridays) and am taking a vacation day Friday, I'm hoping to leave early tomorrow if everything is done.
