I'm finding that my weak point is at night when I start craving something sweet. What are some healthy dessert ideas that you've tried and really enjoy?
Random side note: I can't eat a lot of fresh fruits because of the acidity in them...it hurts my tongue. Milder fruits like watermelon and strawberries, for example, are okay.
I love ricotta cheese mixed with cocoa powder and a little vanilla extra. Or a smoothie with spinach, frozen cherries (not sure if this is too acidic) cocoa poweder and milk. It ends up tasting like a milkshake.
Baked apples with some maple syrup, cinnamon and pecans
I try to keep my desserts still whole type foods with nutritional value rather than like say a skinny cow ice cream bar as my body will stil view that as "Junk" food and it can create a spiral.
I agree with the smoothie that @pdx18 talked about, its like a black forest cake, so good! I also keep dark chocolate with whole hazelnuts from trader joes around because one square usually helps my craving.

I'll try the cherry smoothie! I haven't had issues with cherries in the past, so hopefully it will be good! I've been trying more yogurt as of recent, but sometimes they just don't hit the spot. I normally eat oatmeal for breakfast, so it isn't as dessert-sounding to me anymore.
I admire those of you who have the willpower to eat a square of chocolate. I have no such willpower!
I buy the darkest chocolate I can find and put it in the freezer. Have to get the individually wrapped squares and I try to have only one or two. Usually takes the edge off

I keep the chocolate in the kitchen and only break off one square then go sit in the living room or balcony or wherever to eat it. Usually my laziness wins out and I don't want to get up to get another piece at that moment, by the time I get up again I have forgotten about wanting more. I promise my self control is not very good its just my laziness that is stronger.

My laziness operates differently:
Me: I'll just eat two pieces of the candy bar. Laziness: OR, you know, just take the whole bar with you because then you'd have to get up to get the rest. Me: Great idea! ::takes entire bar of chocolate with self to couch::
Well I like to drink my calories. I like whipped cream flavored vodka with a diet root beer or diet sunkist. Like an adult root beer float or creamsicle.

My H and I tried a few of these guys recently. We're obsessed with the gelatin (if you like jello-it's a healthier, whole-r version) minus the nuts on top. YUM. Also were a big fan of the grilled peaches!
Banana with a little peanut butter, frozen yogurt. Sometimes I'll take a spoon of almond butter and drizzle a little honey on it and that's enough to get some sweetness. I have no will power, so the less (sweet) junk I have in the house, the better.
