I thought I'd chime in since I know we have the same RE. I had my first U/S at 6w2d, and you might recall I had emergency surgery that day for the heterotopic pregnancy. She had me come back a week later to confirm everything was still ok after surgery, and when that US was good she released me to OB. Not sure if her protocol is different for IUI vs IVF patients though.
Interesting. So why do I have to wait until 7 weeks? I need to go back and see when we had the ultrasound last time. I swear we get pregnant in time with dr A's vacations. So maybe she was away this week. Well only three more days! I can make it right!!!

I think because my betas were high they suspected multiples, thought they didn't say so, because first I was told I'd have my first U.S. around 8 weeks, then when they called to schedule it, they made it much sooner. I guess she was onto something. I'm assuming you guys just transferred one embryo? Can't wait for you guys to have your U.S., and wishing you all the best! I just sent our birth announcement to Dr. A, with a note thanking her here's our little chunka
So here's something I thought was a little weird. My RE said he was going to send a letter to my OB about me and my treatment history. The next day, I called the OB to make an appointment. The receptionist asked me if I had a medically verified pregnancy. I said I did, and she asked if I could come in to show them the paperwork. I don't have any paperwork, plus I was leaving town, so I'm hoping that the letter from the RE will arrive this week. But the process, with the requirement for a "medically verified pregnancy", wasn't what I was expecting. Is that normal?
Not from my experience and I've been accepted and seen by 2 OBs so far. The only place I had to "verify" my pregnancy for was the military clinic to get a referral to see a civilian OB. That seems, weird. I always assumed the OBs office verified it themselves with a urine or blood test when one gets pregnant on their own?
Yeah, that was confusing. I was thinking that if I'd been "normal", wouldn't they be the ones to medically verify the pregnancy? Medical care in my little town is so, so weird.
