1. C is now sleeping mostly on his stomach. He's in the zippadeezip still...is it even helping at this point? Should I try to wean away from it now while he's already in a transition (rolling onto tummy and not knowing how to get back (he can roll to back but doesn't in his crib)...he ends up falling asleep and staying asleep on his tummy)? Would you do onesie/pjs or sleepsack?
I transitioned P out of her swaddleUp which is a similar device after being guilt d out of it on here for the same reason. She's been 100% fine and even sleeping better. She's in a sleep sack.
Both of mine are tummy sleepers and I either do sleep sack or just pj's that are long sleeve and footed. It's been hot lately so ditched the sleep sack and they were both fine.
Does the zippadezip swaddle the arms? Once they're rolling they shouldn't be swaddled any more.
What @pennypie said. His arms and legs are free to move...it's a transition sleep sack for breaking babies out of the swaddle. They can roll in it and basically sleep in it til you take them out of it...kind of like a sleep sack but arms and legs are covered and it helps muffle the startle reflex.
I would probably transition. We recently moved DS out of the Merlin suit and it really wasn't as bad as I had been fearing. You never know- he could be fine in it.
I have DS in a muslin sleep sack now with a onesie.
Related question... We're trying to break swaddle and are swaddling one arm out. (He's starting to roll side to side so i don't want to move to another thing we'll have to transition out of soon.) We inevitably re-swaddle though because that one free hand goes straight to paci and pulls it out. Does this just stop eventually?
He does nap in a sleep sack...for 30 minutes, of course.
I'm secretly thrilled Piper is a thumb sucker for this reason.
When did you start letting your baby sleep with something in crib? My twins are 8 months and both like having an A&A blanket when they nap but I don't allow it at night. DS seems to need something lately though. Can I let them sleep with a muslin blanket? I also have those small animal security blankets...is that ok now? They can roll both ways.

H is none too pleased.
C used to take a paci but has always been sucking on his hands. I made a decision one day to stop the paci and am so glad I did. DH also doesn't like the thought of him sucking on his hands and would prefer the paci...sorry dude, I'm fine with that if you're the one replacing it all night long but since it's me I will be thankful for no more paci!

I think a lovey (small animal security blanket) is ok but I wouldn't do a blanket yet.

DD used to always suck her fingers to the point I worried. I'd say around 7 months it stopped. Now she just chews on whatever object she's holding.

Self soothing FTW.
Transition him out of the zipadeezip when you're ready. I personally don't think there's a rush since he can roll both ways in it, but you might find he sleeps better when he can self soothe.

I agree that there's really no rush...he sleeps so good in it and even sucks his hands through the fabric (gross but whatever). The only reason to now/soon is because he's already going through a transition and it's not likely helping him sleep if he's on his tummy. And, it's hot so this would help us not have to work so hard to keep his room so cool.
