How do the free boxes and discounts work? I see that sometimes people have them to give away. I would like to try this today, but I'd love a coupon code. Do people get a certain number to give away?
Also, which is better - hello fresh, or blue apron?
I am also interested in opinions of Hello Fresh vs. Blue Apron. Even with the $40 off coupons this is $30 more than Blue Apron for one more meal so I am wondering if it's worth it. And without the discount it seems way overpriced in comparison.
Does Hello Fresh involve as much prep work as Blue Apron does? We did Blue Apron for a while, but their meals are a lot more time intensive than what we usually make. (Granted, we're really basic cooks) The meals were delicious though!

Well I can't compare the 2 since I love Blue Apron, but I can't imagine anything making Hello Fresh worth that much more.
Someone mentioned the prep time with Blue Apron. I'm also generally a very simple cook and always dread prep, but haven't found it to be that bad. Most meals take 30-40 min from start to finish and I don't find that too horrible for a complete meal.
My only minor complaint would be that I wish they did less carb sides and more veggies. There is always a good veggie side, but I wish it were more. I sometimes supplement with a salad. I usually end up not eating up all of the carb side (which I hate because I hate wasting food, but when I cook for myself I don't eat carbs).
But I continue to get it every few weeks because it makes life simpler for a good price.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone! They sound pretty comparable. I think I would like to try both of them. Then we could just order from whosever meals sound better on a given week.
