We are rebranding and our HQ is requiring is to put up these behemoth banner stands to "announce" this new look in all of our hospitals and clinics. The clinics don't have room for this shit, nor does anyone out of MarCom care. I asked what the point was so I could figure out how many I need, and definitely got a shut up and collect your paycheck kind of answer. Whomp, whomp.
Corporate life is frustrating, but still far better than mom and pop shops.
DH's company went through rebranding a couple of years ago and last year the corporate office sent a woman to go through every box of letterhead, business cards, miscellaneous forms, promotional materials, etc. to make sure that they weren't using any items with the old logo/name. The woman that came had visited them before but she was a man the last time she came. It came as a bit of a surprise to everyone because I guess she has been slowly transitioning to living as a woman but DH's location was not aware of this because she only visits every few years and rarely has contact with them otherwise. My husband, the sensitive soul that he is, was meeting with her and several other administrators and ended his conversation with "Thanks, man." He just about died of embarrassment when what he said finally registered in his own mind. She didn't seem fazed by it and no one said anything at the time but a few coworkers made sure to make fun of him afterward.
This story does not really relate to your situation but it came to my mind and I thought I would share it with the world.
Good luck with the rebranding. It can be a bit of a pain for a while but will settle before long.
