I'm exploring the idea of a post-divorce solo vacation of some sort. I like the idea of a domestic spa or retreat where there might be others on their own as well. Group planned activities, excursions, meals would be a plus.

I've never even gone to a movie alone, so I think this is awesome! I recently went to Costa Rica and loved it. There were so many things to do and everyone was so friendly, I think it would be a nice place to travel alone.
Do you happen to do yoga? There are a lot of yoga retreats where I bet a lot of people go on their own.
Also, a photo meetup group I'm part of actually just planned a trip to South America. Most people don't know each other all that well but they'll still hang out together on the trip if they want to. Maybe other meetup groups do something similar?
Club Med in Turks & Caicos is a singles resort. I've also been on a singles cruise with Windjammer but I think they are out of business. I've thought about going out a trip with Singles Travel international but the dates never worked out for me.
I'm not sure about any spa retreats, but it sure you could look online for info. An all inclusive hotel in the Caribbean may be a good option. You can stay in the resort and then do group excursions (like snorkeling etc) and I think that would be safe for a solo traveler. Sounds fun and awesome! I always said I'd do it when I was single, but chickened out.
pantsoffdanceoff is currently on a solo trip to Italy. She went with a tour group. I also like the suggestion of an all inclusive, I would feel safe doing that by myself. This is on my list of stuff I would like to do. I've gone to the beach by myself and that felt like a big step to me lol.
I did go to Spain solo, I loved it. I was gone for 2 weeks and I got a bit homesick my last few days.
Not sure where you live, I'm in Southern California and I'd love to go on a retreat/spa in Arizona. All my traveling has been solo or with a close girlfriend.
Check out G Adventure. I think Bullygirl told me about them.

Whats your budget? If you want to splurge a bit and have a passport you can go spend a week at Rancho La Puerta in Mexico. You fly into San Diego and then the resort will provide transportation into Mexico. www.rancholapuerta.com/
I'm not comfortable going out of the country solo. Baby steps people! I came across Canyon Ranch but haven't looked too closely at cost - seems interesting.
I think this sounds like a wonderful idea. If I were you i would think back to anything you have always wanted to do/try, like bucket list material, and give yourself a really special experience just for you.
In my marriage, travel experiences got really deprioritized, even though we drove across the country on a number of occasions we never really did any special sightseeing, what a wasted opportunity. Have the fun that you want. Do/see something you've always wondered about.
I don't have any experience with retreats or resorts, but I'm a big fan of solo travel. My first solo trip was to Chicago (murder capital of America, yay!) and I had a blast. I stayed in an international hostel downtown and met lots of other solo travelers from around the country and around the world. The hostel also had lists of tours and fun activities to do around the city.
Definitely do it. Solo travel will change your life!

I spent a week on our boat by myself a couple summers ago - best vacation ever. I didn't go anywhere, she was a dock queen/floating condo but it was the best. I was physically exhausted from work. Not only did the boat not leave the marina, neither did I. We have a pool, I sat up on the bridge of the boat and played on my laptop, cross-stitched, read, slept, watched boat traffic on the bay. I stocked up on food on Sunday before H went home - simple quick things like Chicken salad and a relish tray w/dip, oreos, pop tarts, bananas.
I didn't get a whole week by myself last summer, only about 3 days. This year I got another week and it was wonderful. This year I had a few things to do each day because on the weekend I was in charge of our club's poker run on the bay and steak roast (for 173 people!).
This is on Sandusky Bay in Ohio -lots to do in the area if you want or not. Spend a quiet week on Kelleys Island or a little more busy week at Put-in-Bay on Middle Bass Island (Both are great places to go). We'll be at Put-in-Bay the first week of August.

They don't serve alcohol! Lol look at Miraval. I loved it. It is pricey though but they have specials.
