My fffc is that ds can correctly identify and say "Starbucks," "target," and, gasp "McDonald's". Whatevs. It's cute to me when he asks for a "k cup" which is a cake pop at Starbucks.

This reminds me of a time I went to the Starbucks drive thru and Mini was screaming through the window that she wanted nuggets and fries. Clearly couldn't differentiate her drive through windows...

Speaking of kids and fast food, we were at In n Out recently and the person who was taking our order was right next to DS' window. So he promptly asks DH to roll the window down so he could say hi. He says hi and then proceeds to say, "Ummm...can I have a cheeseburger please? No sauce. Thanks." The best part is that the girl totally played along and asked him if he wanted onions.

When DS was younger once and we were waking past the Starbucks in target DS loudly asked me if I wanted a grande iced coffee with whole milk because "you're so grumpy mama maybe coffee will help."
I give my 15 month old sips of my coffee at target because it gets me through the store. No shame.
Jack runs out of the baby pool to find my iced coffee at our umbrella.
Really, I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't rinse my kids every time. I figure by the time they're done swimming the sunblock is off and I'm only using physical blockers anyway. I'm just not worried about it.
My kids shower after swimming about half the time. If we leave the pool late afternoon I don't even bother bc we will be right back there at 11am. I do wash faces though.

So I am the world's biggest idiot because it never even crossed my mind that the shower was to get the evil chemical ridden sunblock off! I never rinse my kids unless it's from the beach and they are covered in sand.
At least twice in Disney this last time, the pool was definitely their bath.

Yes. We always shower after the beach in the outdoor shower. I don't know if my kids bathed once in Disney, we swam every day!
I don't know what people are worried about - sunblock? chlorine? That someone else peed in the water? Don't care.
Do you all not shower yourselves daily? Or after the pool?
No and no.
I've never been a shower daily person my whole life. If I was dedicated enough to exercise more, that would probably have to change. But I only shower every other day and wash my hair once a week.
I wish I had gotten summer school (it's based on seniority) just so that I could have paid someone to do all the manual labor I have been doing the first three weeks of my summer break. Brought you by the fact that today I will be painting more doors and Dh and I will be painting the landing and hallway. Can I lost my house now?!
To piggy back on this, I'm considering the McMasion on the list the realtor gave us for several reasons, the most compelling is it is mostly move in ready. It just needs paint! no more labor!

FFC? No. Sometimes we are all just too tired at the end of day, and if I know we are heading right back to the pool in the morning, or the gym or something, I will skip it and try to achieve epic level of pre-shower grossness. ;-)
But also, showering myself is 1 trillion times easier than bathing my children, involves almost no screaming, and does not drown my bathroom in water. There are definitely times I skip it for my kids but shower myself later.
I swore at my kid last week. To be fair, he'd just thrown a snow scraper at me and hit me in the head while I was driving the car. Apparently, he was mad about the construction. That thing smarted, for sure. I apologized and I feel awful but, guys, that freaking hurt. :-(

I sweat like a man, but I still don't shower every day. I only wash my hair twice a week. DS does get showered off daily but not necessarily bathed, mostly because chlorine aggravates his eczema.

We have this issue with DD as well, and I also don't like letting her sleep with sunscreen residue on. But many, many summer nights, we call a post-dinner run through the backyard sprinkler good. A good ol' bath in the tub, with soap and hair washing? Probably only a couple of times a week. But, again, that has as much to do with parental laziness as too much bathing being bad for her skin.
Our pool is saltwater and my skin always feels so soft when I get out.
I do bathe my kids every night but mainly because a nightly bath is part of their routine and on nights that I try to skip it it takes them forever to settle down.
We always bathe after the pool but during summer? Yeah we bathe everyday...sweaty dirty people yo.
My kids call it "old mcdonalds" but J prefers "chipotle taco store" and b likes "papera" (panera).
DH took the kids out from the time they got up until lunch and it was glorious and I missed them. Then they came home and both kids started melting, stomping feet and growling at me for who knows what random reason and I was ready for them to leave again haha!
Chlorine dries out hair and skin. And pee in the water. Reasons we shower after the pool. I'm not worried so much about the chemicals from sunblock but I've noticed we breakout more (dd1 and I) if the sunblock isn't rinsed off. This isn't an issue when swimming though.
But we do not bath or shower everyday otherwise. Only every other day or even every 2 or 3 days for the kids unless we've been at the pool or a particularly dirty day.
My niece is going through a difficult time right now and also recently moved out of state. I sent her a bracelet I knew she would love to cheer her up.
I checked the tracking and it was delivered 2 days ago and I haven't heard a word. I didn't do it for the recognition but I was hoping she'd love it and at least call to say she got it. I'm hoping she's just been busy with work.

In the summer, I shower twice a day about half the time. I have very oily hair and I hate the way it feels if it isn't clean. I wish it didn't bug me so much.
