So i went back to the dr this morning to get a blood test. my numbers are not yet in the normal range so I continue with the medication as prescribed. Whenever I have to put my foot down to scoot anywhere my foot turns an awful color of purple. My cousin said she was a bit concerned with that. I still have a bit of pain, but nothing like it was the other day. I still don't know about flying. I'll find out more on Monday. Blahhhh!

I'm really guessing that flying Monday is going to be off the table for you. Sorry.
I know that my orthopedic surgeon did not want me to fly for 6 weeks after surgery, despite the fact that I was feeling ok and able to get around well. I complied, unhappily. I could have gone back to work easily at 3-4 weeks. I think that blood clots were his biggest concern.
Clots tend to hurt for a while afterward, even after they've mostly resolved. If you look up post thrombotic syndrome, you can find some info about it. I don't have any residual pain from my DVT but I know my mom has some issues in her leg ever since hers.
Hopefully they can get your Coumadin levels up so you can stop with the shots. I know when you first start it, it makes you hypercoagulable so they keep the Lovenox going at the same time. Fingers crossed that you can get home soon and without too much trouble!
