We've had a lot of eating out the past few days. I'm craving total home cooked comfort food. Not really healthy, ha ha...but yummy. I need inspiration!!!
Ooh, along @tooshort lines....I recently had chicken and dumplings for the first time. YUM.

We are having hot dogs, corn, cut veggies and cantaloupe.
I know! My mom was...how to put it nicely...a horrible chef. DH is a chef (former professional) and does all the cooking but he doesn't like it so I've just never had it!
A couple from my meal plan over the next week or so: homemade Mac 'n Cheese (I use cornbread topping and add some pepper jack in with the cheddar), crockpot chili and cornbread, crockpot stuffed spinach shells with rolls and salad, and grilled salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.
I saw this yesterday and had all the ingredients so made it for dinner tonight. Thank you. It hit the spot and DS gobbled it up.

I just marinated some thinly sliced steak in a garlic marinade this afternoon and then put in a hot skillet. Removed it. Sautéed thinly sliced mushroom in the same pan. Put everything back in with a bit a beef broth. Let it reduce a bit and then added sour cream. Stirred in egg noodles that I had cooked separately. I also added some broccoli but just because....

Lol seriously! I googled beef stroganoff and none of the recipes sounded appealing. I knew gastro's would be better haha!
