Can we fast forward to Friday? It hasn't really been a hot summer so far, but the humidity is miserable. At work we have a thermometer and its 75% humidity and 74 degrees INDOORS with "air conditioning" which is not functioning. I can't take it anymore. Complaining has gotten us nowhere and I feel like reporting this to a higher authority. It's supposed to be a sterile environment. LOL (pdq)
See my "Fuck!!!" post to see what's going on with me.
Other than that, I'm at the ENT to get my ears cleaned. To the tune of a $50 copay! Used to be $20 until my last visit. I need to come every 3-4 months but I'll be pushing that back to every 6 months.
I'll crawl on the fast train to Friday. But I want all of the work on my desk done too!
I am on day 37 of my walking program. It feels good to tighten up all those jiggly parts. I have a long way to go, but am happy that I have found something I seem to want to stick with.
I'm bummed because I was supposed to see Imagine Dragons tonight and I can't go ::sobs::
I quit therapy about 3 months ago and I'm really suffering. But, we didn't really 'click'. I have no idea how to go about finding another one. My area is so small there aren't many to choose from. My best option is in the city that's about 1.5 hours from me. Damn this small town!

Ooooh what does this consist of? It sounds like it would feel amazing.
It's not really pleasant. It can be painful. Today it was. There are 2 methods he uses. The one he uses the most is a small metal loop. He grabs the wax with that and pulls it out. It hurts when the wax pulls off of the eardrum. The other method, the one I like better, is a suction. It can hurt, but not as much as the loop. It sounds really neat too.
Unless my ears are extremely plugged and I cannot hear out of them, I usually don't notice a difference. Liked today. My hearing is no better then it was before I went in. He told me that as long as there is a small opening in the wax, my hearing will most likely not be affected.

I hate the ear currette (metal loop)! I have my ears cleaned out by the ENTs I work for from time to time, one of them is old school and still uses the irrigation syringe. That is my favorite method, like a nice warm bath for my ears lol. I just had the suction last week for the first time, better than the currette at least.
I'm definitely ready to FF to Friday! The humidity here is gross today @blueyes623, so sorry the A/C isn't even helping!
I got up at 4am yesterday to drive back to Brooklyn from my parents' house in CT and was so exhausted during the day I almost nodded off at my desk. Then I get home and am wide awake until after midnight...I don't know why, but that always happens. So, now I am still tired today. I need all the coffee.
Thank you calle28. She was recommended by my aunt who is also a patient of hers. I have a doctors appt tomorrow so I'm going to ask him for a recommendation. I thought this would get easier as time went on, but it seems to be getting harder.
quietmind do you have insurance, that is how I find mine. I can do a search on the insurance providers website and find anyone who is covered. I hope you can find someone you click with.
I called in today because I don't feel great, just exhausted and have so much stuff I need to do around the apartment.
Today is the best day ever! I mentioned a few weeks ago that one of my marketing campaigns from last year won two industry awards. Well... make that THREE! and my boss is sending me to the awards ceremony in Chicago next week!! I'm so excited!!
I saw Jurassic World last night (which was awesome for what it was), came home and worked out, and then I crashed at 12am...and slept until 11am! I guess I needed some sleep! Today I am getting my weekly errands done since I work Thursday and Friday (last day!) and then am going home for a visit after work on Friday through Monday. I start my new job next Tuesday!

calle28, it is totally home grown. I have put on at least 50 lbs in the last 5 years. I was always a runner and loved it, but then a knee injury/surgery sidelined me and I have never been able to come back...............yet! I am on my fourth attempt. The prior attempts were a mix of lets go out there and get um....I have an issue once I get out there of not holding back and continuing to push. Anyways, I finally am tired of being tired, and finally tired of not feeling well so.....
I set a goal in June of walking 30 miles during the entire month. That is only a mile a day, not bad should take you no more than 15-20 minutes to do. I liked the regiment and how I felt so I ended up walking more. I actually hit 57 miles in June. Go me! Anyways, in July, I have set my goal at 60 miles for the month. So far I am on track. In addition, I have cut my soda intake to 1 (16 oz) per day. And am trying to eat healthier on a 80/20 rule. I still eat bad foods but only 20%ish of what I eat, the other 80% is clean eating.
In August of last year I said I wanted to lose 50 lbs by my 50th Birthday this August. So far I am at 25 lbs lost. Sadly, I have actually lost about an additional 60 during this time but gained it back each time. hmmmpf. The walking seems to be totally toning my legs, butt, belly, and waist. It is so cool to feel better and have my clothes fit correctly.

I just officially adopted my dog even though he's been with me since June 20. I love this little guy. Never thought I'd be a pet parent but I definitely am.
I'm ready for Friday too! We're going out of town and there will be beaches involved so yay!
But I have a paper to write by Thursday so...I should get moving on that one.

Any audiobook recommendations for my trip?
What are you wanting? Stupid girly books? Mystery? Fiction? Non-Fiction?
I am currently listening to "the Hypnotist's Love Story" which is pretty interesting so far. I just finished "The Husband's Secret" (They are the same author).
I actually enjoyed "Girl on the Train" through audible. I thought the performer did well. I also listened to Gone Girl and Dark Places. Both were good. On the same vein (psychological books) The Kind Worth Killing was interesting and messed up.
If you love Veronica Mars, "The Thousand Dollar Tan Line" is actually narrated by Kristen Bell, which was fun.
For girly books: I loved "True Love and Other Disasters" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic."
So, coming off my Vegas high, I decided I was too harsh on the friend who chose the last minute Mexico trip over our mutual friends birthday. Decided I'd give her a chance and not be so judgmental. Different people have different priorities, right? Yeah, no. She has SINCE THEN, invited all the girls in our mutual group of friends out for HH, but not me. Invited all of them over for 4th of July, but not me. Then, Pam went with her to the 4th party and was ready to leave. So, I picked up Pam. Friend did not even come outside and say Hi to me, or acknowledge I was there. Guess we aren't friends anymore. Originally feelings-validated.
Today was a good day at work. I'm focusing on my list each day because if I don't I'll just spiral out of control and get nothing done before I leave.
Today was the first of three "goodbye" lunches. I'm quite positive I'll be a mess come Thursday.
It's been raining here since 11am. I'm definitely interested to see how long it lasts. Not looking forward to finding time to cut the grass in between all the other rain we're supposed to get.
Yes to Friday!!!! BF and o are going to a concert. My mom said she could watch P then bailed at the last minute because she's making dinner for her BF. Luckily rookie can watch him.
We got the mediators report back today. They think he should have two overnights a month and continue one week at holidays. What the ever loving fuck??? We disagree completely. Hopefully when we go to trial the judge will remain with what he said currently; no visitation. I'm super upset

I know that mediators can be great but sometimes they make me think "WTF??"

I know. There was nothing even referenced about talking to teachers, Ps counselor, etc re: what has happened. I just cannot imagine him having to go back unsupervised after everything that has happened. I honestly am praying xh gets arrested. It's the one way P would be safe.
