We bought one, but I'm not sold on it. I know BOBs are highly recommended, but what other ones do you love? Or what should I look for??
Our only other stroller is a City Mini and I love love love it, so I think I am putting a lot of pressure on this stroller. Bonus if the weight/height limit is high since this will become our new every day stroller once DD grows totally out of the CM.

We also love our double BOB. We hadn't used it in a year or so until this past weekend (older kids don't need it, and our City Mini CT is good enough for everyday use), and I fell back in love with it all over again. Even with over 90lbs of kid in it, it still pushed like a dream. I can actually push all 3 kids in it at once if DD sits on the front triangle part, and it still pushes nicely.
We have a mountain buggy urban and I love it. It is now out of commission due to rust (our fault for leaving it out in the rain all the time) my H is trying to find a replacement front wheel somewhere
anyway my MIL gave us her old bob last week and i don't like it as much so far. For one thing the wheel is "off" so it is always trying to go slightly right when fixed. This probably can be adjusted I assume. Also it seems more.. tippy and unstable than the mountain buggy.
I compared it with BOB on Lucie's List and was more impressed with baby jogger. My bff has a double BOB and I liked the canopies on mine a lot better. Both push very easy.
When we have a 3rd kid in a few years I plan to get a Baby Jogger single running stroller but to use as an every day one.
I know you were looking for other recommendations other than the BOB but honestly just get one. You will love it, will be able to use for a long time because it is bigger. Try to find one used if you don't want to pay full price or sometimes you can find them on sale and know you will just sell it after you are done and recoup some of your money.
Once M could sit in a stroller we have never used anything else. He loves going for runs with me in it. Just climbs right in.
I wouldn't love my BOB for an everyday stroller. It's too bulky for me to load/unload frequently. I think it's clunky to fold over and snap shut.
We use it for neighborhood walks and other outdoor stuff, but I wouldn't bring it to the mall or in and out of Target on the regular. We have a Britax B-Agile for that. Maybe using that has spoiled me though.
I agree with this - ours is a double and unweildy to haul around - but I do adore it. We don't really use strollers out and about anymore, but we had a maclaren umbrella for that.
DD is 3.5yo and doesn't go in the stroller unless it's for a long walk (when a big stroller wouldn't matter). But we'll hold onto the CM because she's nowhere near the weight limit of 40lbs, but she's around 38" tall and her head is getting preeeeeetty close to the top.
That being said, we definitely want a jogging stroller since we plan to run with it. I completely forgot bout the Summit. I may just need to do some testing.
I was all set to register for the BOB, which my mom had already promised to buy us, but we ended up going with the Graco Relay Click Connect instead. They are usually $329 at BRU, although the one with lime green accents has recently been on sale for $229.
I was able to compare the two side-by-side, and found them to be very similar with regards to size. If anything, the Graco had a slighly smaller footprint. I also liked that it worked with my Click Connect car seat, no special attachment, pool noodles, etc. required. It also included a pouch for my keys, phone, drink and a cupholder for my baby. I was not a fan of how BOB nickle & dimes you for the accessories.
I probably put about 20+ miles a week on the stroller, between 5k jogs and longer walks. I love the shocks--it's a very smooth ride when jogging outside on uneven payment. The large basket also comes handy when I walk to my mom's house to spend the day--it holds a ton of stuff. The stroller also wipes clean very easy, which comes in handy since I've spilled ice coffee all over it a couple of times.
We love our BOB. We use it every single day for walks around the neighborhood with the dog. I use it for running regularly too. It is so smooth and easy to push and it handles the rough terrain of our neighborhood and park. It's big though. I don't put it in the car all that often though (my neighborhood is where we walk/run most of the time), though it does fit in the trunk of my prius with room (though not much) for my medium sized dog. We keep a light umbrella stroller (Summer 3D Lite) in the car most of the time for errands and such. We are big time walkers and really use the stroller a lot. We walk around the neighborhood and in our neighborhood park pretty much twice a day without fail though (this is because we have an insane/active, herding breed dog). We also only have one car, which I take to work, so my husband walks DD in the BOB to daycare every day before he bikes to work.
We have the Summit and I love it. I prefer that there's a handbrake on the handlebars and that I can reach the button to lock/unlock the wheel. Also, Baby Jogger's customer service has been top notch. I had an issue that the brake was difficult to press (in sandals) and they sent us a new stroller.

This. I tried so hard to find one stroller that would fit all my needs (target runs, plus living in a historic city with bumpy sidewalks and lots of walking). I love my Bob, but if it was my only one it would be a pain. Its heavy and not compact. I really like having the b-agile in the car for quick trips into the store and shopping. I love my Bob for walking (I won't lie and say I actually run with it), the zoo, anything other than a quick trip. Handles so easily and nothing else has compared so far.
I have a baby trend and really like it. I'm sure the Bob is better and the BT can sometimes feel a little shaky, but I didn't want to spend a ton since I wasn't sure how much I'd really jog with it. I still prefer it for walks and such too.
I have one also and really like it. I don't run a ton with it, but it's been good for the running I do do with it and for walks too.
I've been using this one since DD was 5 months old. The basket is HUGE. The back wheels have individual breaks. There are two cupholders on top and two on the child tray with a small tray area as well. It reclines in three positions. It has a spot that holds cell phones that also lifts up to a storage area. It has been a smooth ride while running as well.
The one negative: It is a beast. It started to take me multiple times to collapse it. It takes up a good amount of space in the trunk. It is awkward and a bit heavy.
I got a City Mini recently to make my official car stroller so the Graco stays in the garage for walks/runs around the neighborhood. But I really do love all of the features.

We also have a BabyTrend jogger and we've been happy with it, though no serious running over here, just jogging. The parent tray with dual cupholders is the best, it holds bike bottles which we use all the time and that's key when it's warm out. Also it's much cheaper than a Bob.
Love my BOB. I don't run, so I use it for the park and farmers markets. Works great. Smooth ride, good fold for such a big stroller, large seat. The only drawback is the short seat height. DS's head started to touch the canopy when he was only 18 months old.

We have this as well. It has held up fairly well and it is amazing for zoo trips and other off-roading things. Love the basket size! I have seem quite a few on clearance at target lately.
@littlemoxie and @stilljustash- do you think older kids would work in the Indie? It shows weight limit of 45lbs and while DD is only 30lbs, there is usually a correlation to size/weight for the stroller. Worried it wouldn't last long.

We bought the Chicco activ3. My husband is 6'5" and I am 5'2" so having adjustable handlebars is important. The front tire pops off so it fits in the back of his sedan.

So this is where I confess I've never actually jogged with it. But, DS is 37 inches and 32 lbs at 2.5 years old and I've noticed no difference in how it handles compared to when he was younger. He is definitely starting to get close to the top of the canopy, but he still has some room in the legs (especially because the seat is adjustable).
We use it for parks, our crappy sidewalks (so lots of roots, dips, grass, bumpy asphalt, etc.). When I'm on a smooth sidewalk or indoors I can control it easily with one hand and it maneuvers like a dream.
But isn't your kid getting close to 4? I wouldn't really worry about longevity at that age - they may not want to be in it much longer anyway.
Yeah, she's 3.5. I just figure if we're going to buy a "new" stroller now, ideally it would last as long as we'd need it. Although DD will probably be 10 before she hits the 75lbs a BOB can hold

I've put at least a couple thousand miles on our single BOB stroller and it still looks almost brand new. Handles likes dream, and my kids are happy spending extended periods of time in it too.
We have a Safety 1st Jogger. It's 5 years old and still runs like a champ. The thing is a workhorse. I'm more of an awkward jogger than hardcore runner.
ETA we brought it on our Disney cruise a few years back. MIL was recovering from cancer treatment and didn't have a lot of stamina. She is a bit stubborn and tends to over do it physically. I was concerned that if she got over heated she may not be able to walk back and I wasn't sure of the taxi situation. She ended up riding in the stroller on the way back to the ship. I honestly don't know how we would have got her back on time.
Baby Jogger Summit xc. We had the single version then got the double. I'm sure they have a newer version out now. We have taken it all over Europe (used to love there)much better on cobblestone streets than an umbrella. As far as running I have put a ton of miles on it. We got it on 2011 and I still use it with baby #3. A few months ago the front wheels started wobbling a bit and Baby Jogger sent me a replacement free of charge. I actually want to get a new.single one but can't justify the cost since this is our last baby.
