Advice please re: Tarte Amazonian clay powder

I started using this maybe 6 months ago and really like it. But I've never been sure how to put it on. The only thing I figured out was to turn it upside down on my palm, smack it hard with my other palm, then use my fingers to apply it.

That had worked well, but now it's half empty and harder than ever to get out. There's just that one tiny pinhole! Am I supposed to open up the whole container? Other tricks?

I loosen the cap slightly, flip it over, tap it on my bathroom counter so the powder goes in the lid and use a brush - the mineral powder brush in this set: www.ecotools.com/bamboo-5-piece-brush-set - to apply.

You really need a brush for loose powder.

I do something similar to this- unscrew the lid, flip over the container and tap it on the edge of the lid until some comes out into the lid. I apply with a brush.

Thanks, everyone! I always used a brush for powder before this, but I really just have struggled a bit with the Tarte. But, I really love it, so I will try tapping it upside down with the lid on.
