DS is 15 months old and goes to daycare 3 days a week. Every week I've been signing an incident report saying he's been bitten. At first I was breezy about it, but it's starting to seems like too often. Normal? Talk to his teachers or director more? I mentioned when I signed the form today that it seemed like he was being bit a lot and one of the teachers said "it's because he's so sweet!"
That's way too often, IMO. Is it the same child biting him every time? My DD1 was only bitten once I think, and DD2 was only bitten once as well that I can remember.

I thought about that on my way home- I'm not sure. The incident reports all say "my friend". I think I'll ask- maybe he's in a class of vampires.

That seems like a lot and that response would really annoy me. I would ask what they are doing about it etc. Yes it happens but they need to address it. We have never had a biting incident but I know another mom at daycare that told me her her daughter had it happen a couple times.

Our DC won't tell us who the biter was. However, they also had to fill out incident reports for the biter, so if you look where the papers are for the kids, you might be able to figure it out.
DD got bit fairly often at that age. There was one kid that really had a problem with biting. Since she moved into the older toddler room (18+ month), I think she's only been bit once.

Is 15 months correct? My kid was only bitten once in the infant class. And it didn't do much damage with them not having teeth. After age 1 it picked up a lot.
They aren't allowed to tell you who it is. But they can give you an idea of the circumstances. My kid was a biter, and the daycare was taking a lot of steps to try to make everyone happy. He was being bit about once a week too, but there all 5 days.
What's the point of knowing who the biter is? It probably won't change anything. Eventually they'll tell you themselves of course (when they get more verbal)
Anyway DD was never bitten but there is only one kid her age there. From friends with kids at centers I feel it is fairly par for the course. I think it would annoy me but I wouldn't say anything unless the bites were somewhat severe.
I don't really care who it is, I just was going to ask if it were multiple kids. For some reason that would make me feel better.
At that age DD was bitten a ton. Like every damn day. Team shark tank!
I got upset about it asked DCP. Trusted she was doing the best she could. It's nearly impossible to stop biting.
DD is also in an in home with 4 other girls her age. It was rough as a result. Good news was, DD was never a biter because I think she knew how much it hurt. It was mainly one girl wreaking havoc on the rest with a few random attackers thrown in. So it seems more because 3/4s of her DC was the same age.
Then one day, they all became more verbal and all their teeth came in and it was over just like that. After a rough month or two I don't think she's been bit since.
DS is in that same DC with 2 other kids his age. And the rest are quite a bit older. He hasn't been bit yet. None of his friends seem to bite. He just gets hit constantly instead by another little toddler criminal.
DS1 had his first really bad bite from daycare around 18 months, and he got bitten fairly regularly over that next year, probably 5 or 6 times. Only the first one was bad.
DS2 was the biter, I don't know if he was ever bitten. I felt terrible every time I got a report saying DS2 had bitten another child. I got at least 6 of those reports
