Do you like it?
We are thinking of maybe getting a new car and we have always liked them. Last time we didn't consider it because DD2 was RF and it wasn't a good fit. This would be the only car that would fit us all. (DH has a standard cab truck, but walks to work.)
We are little bit of car snobs. Is the interior clunky? Ford is not known for their interiors. Is gas mileage really 28/32?
I miss my Mini, but even the 4-door is too small for us right? (family of 4)

No! We have a Mini Countryman, and it's awesome. It's super fun to drive, and very comfortable - even when DD was RFing. We got a better fit with her seat in that than my mazda3 hatch, because you can move the back seats forward and back.
We have bucket seats in the back of ours, but you can get them with a bench now too if you prefer.

Thanks! Maybe I need to test drive one. I was thinking the Hardtop 4-door which is smaller. The Countryman is pretty bubble-y stylewise, but the mini interiors and zippines are the best.
We have a 2013 Focus Hatchback and I'm very happy with it. When we first bought it the computer system was a newish feature and didn't work great, but they've updated it and I've had no problems in the last couple years.
H has a 2013 Focus hatchback. It's alright. It's definitely small when you have a carseat in the back, but better now that we moved that out. It's his commuter car and he easily gets 35mpg (mostly 50-60mph driving). Tank is only $35 to fill up at $2.90gal.
He really likes it. It's got good pickup, nice lines, lots of space in the back and cool features. He has the SEL, so heated seats and some extra upgrades.
My niece has a 2014 Focus Hatchback. She loves it, but she only ever has her little brothers who are in boosters at this point. She likes the electronics. The interior is fine for the price point. She had a transmission issue early on, but it seems the dealer addressed it. I'm not sure of her actual numbers in terms of MPG- but she is happy enough.

Yeah the body style took a bit for me to come around - you and I have similar aesthetics I think, but now I absolutely love it.
Plus in the newer model they made the cup holder normal sized

You like talking cars? What do you think about the VW Golf? Supposed to be great.
My DH was online looking at the Countryman and the new 4-door Mini last night! I guess the new 4-door is 11" longer?

We looked at the diesel golf when H was car shopping but we knew we wanted something a little bigger (plus they were hard to get then) - that's why we went w the countryman.
I didn't realize the 4 door was bigger! I haven't seen it in person yet.
If I didn't have to consider transporting a kid and dogs, my ideal car is the fiat 500. So adorable!
