So you know the stories about movers packing the trash?

One of ours just figured out that she'd packed her phone in a kitchenwares box! Thankfully she had the ringer turned up, or we would have been very surprised when we opened that box in Maryland.

The packers and I kept having giggle fits about this for the rest of the afternoon.

Oh my! On our first PCS they packed our dirty laundry that I had a note not to pack on. So I totally believe the trash thing would happen.

Side note- we PCS'd to MD this year too.

The trash thing happened to my friend. 

I don't know how I knew about it since H wasn't in the military yet, but she told me the movers were coming and I told her to be sure to empty her trash can since they'll pack it as is. 

She came into work the day after the movers came and was like "KC! THEY PACKED THE GARBAGE." lol

I could see that happening. On one of my moves, the one where I was particularly at odds with the packers at the end of the day, the guy who I disliked the most accidentally left his cell phone on my kitchen counter.

I think that I saw it on my way out and was considering taking it straight to the inspector's office the next day so that they had to deal with him. Meaning, I was going to leave ASAP and go back to my hotel before they could notice and come back. But as I was getting ready to leave they pulled up asking for the phone and I let them back in to get it. This was after we had a major exchange about them having me sign the crate seals and then refusing to put them on in my presence.
