Any air crew at mil.den.hall?

Anyone here air crew stationed at mil.den.hall? I have many questions!

H's commander offered him a KC-135 training spot and said we could basically pick any base we want. I have one friend over there now whose H is a 135 pilot and they both say the ops tempo is insane and they can't wait to leave. It seems that the ops tempo for the 135 is basically insane everywhere though' from what I gather.

I have a couple of friends that were there. They loved it, as far as I know. DH flies the 10 and is out of his mind busy right now. I imagine that the 135 is the same. There's a lot of work crap that you'll have to deal with. (Frequent deployments and trips, and long office hours) I guess one big benefit would be that you're so close to Europe and can see some things that you wouldn't have a chance to in normal life, as much as you could with three kids in tow anyway.

The ops tempo is the main focus of my questions. I have one friend out there now and both she and her husband painted a pretty bleak picture of the ops tempo, even though. The specifics didn't sound hugely terrible to me. But they are both miserable and can't wait to leave. I was hoping to get some other perspectives.

I don't know anything helpful at all. But I do hope you are able to secure something that is a little bit more relaxed in order to get more family time.

My H is a 135-Pilot and a few of our friends are on their way over to Milden Hall. The tempo is crazy but something you seriously need to consider is they plan to close the base within 2 years and I'm told everyone there is heading to Ramstein so chances are OP you wont be there the full assignment.

Where we are the tempo is the worst haha so we have Milden Hall on our list for orders next round.

The press release the put out in January said they plan to close the base in 5-7 years.
